Great news our line-up for September 7th private is now complete headlining a modular techno live set by Maxpacemaker (Antwerp), i'll rent some extra speakers for this occasion..
MaxPacemaker is the alter ego of Antwerp-based multi-instrumentalist Max PhilippWeies. He explored pretty much every sort of genre from Metal to Punk, from Psychedelic music to Jazz. Growing up near Cologne, he found his love for electronic
music in the Club scene of the 90’s. As a guitar-player he founded the electro-acoustic band Go March, which shifted from Krautrock towards a sound that was heavily influenced by Dance-music, ranging from Italo-Disco to Techno.
Meanwhile Weies was experimenting with drum computers sent through guitar effects, hardware synthesizers and Ableton Live. He eventually assembled his own customized Techno machine using a modular synth with an Ableton effect-rack and recently played
first solo shows as MaxPacemaker.
Influenced by the likes of Ritchie Hawtin, Blawan and Speedy J, his improvised sets arealways different, but undeniably situated on the darker side of the spectrum.Polyrhythmic percussion, acidic elements and reverberating rumbles merge together and create a maze of tunnels that may or may not lead you to light.
Served to you for free (to loyal DM fans & friends):

Here a clip of the maestro Tolouse Low Trax Live at Boiler Room, we can't express enough what i means to bring him to Lille on May 18
Tolouse Low Trax Live ! / Bear Bones, Lay Low Live !If there is currently any "counterculture" than it's for a big part thanks to this man. As co-owner of Salon Des Amateurs in Dusseldorf they fueled the avant "slower is the new fast" sound.
For ages nighttime was said to be the time of ghosts and spirits.
Detlef Weinrich, alias Toulouse Low Trax, too, seems to have lingered in the irrational universe of frozen continuity quite frequently within the last 15 years. Everyone who drifts to the sound of his Music will soon sense the musical intensity boding a different Dancefloor. Cool, atmospheric new-wave-sharpness, and a cushioned beat rate between 107 and 116 bpm call out a mechanical functionality that doesn't bow to any contemporary doctrine. " Urban music, club album. Big city lights in Africa. Chilly neon-sounds made in Dusseldorf and now in Paris.
Now, with his solo project, he is demonstrating that a MPC and a small synthesizer-ensemble are enough to bring alive futuristic dance music in the here and now.
With heavy dry bass figures, compact analogue effects, percussive dabs and a rough blend of layers, Weinrich has, without any digital support, created quivering drum machine music, whose dancability he was able to test regularly as a resident DJ and co-owner of the Dusseldof-based club/ bar "Salon Des Amateurs".
The Music is committed to experiment. They leave room for every sound without neglecting rhythmical clarity. A dark, urban solanum, fextra dry, whose melodies are never prankish, but whose minimal nonchalance is sure to help not only the dark creatures through the night.
"Form is essence brought to the surface" Electronic music beyond
any categorisation, whose sounds and rhythmics grow to an emotional atmosphere that far exceeds the immediately hearable.

Be ready for the voodoo dance at Tolouse Low Trax Live ! / Bear Bones, Lay Low Live ! ! (May 18th) in Lille (FR)
His live performances have attracted many music fans from different horizons, allowing him to play in varied contexts ranging from strictly experimental music festivals like Echoes , to open-minded night-clubs such as Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf or Contact Club in Tokyo, Dekmantel in Amsterdam, AB in Brussels and everything in between.

@aether_celtric still has 75 copies to spread for free of the record he released in 2006 "Bruno Belluomini / Ipiki Ookami – Gent Sao Paulo EP".
in 2006 under Unity Trax feat Brazil's Bruno Belluomini on one side. This was the first Brazil/BE joint dubstep release. Bruno needs a lot of credit for letting the "dubstep" sound "explode in S-America..
"South America got in on the action, with Brazil's Bruno Belluomini playing the music on the radio and at one-off parties in Sao Paulo."
Red Bull Academy / How dubstep took over the world..
If you want a copy send a mail to
dancemekanik - at - gmail.com / the postal charges are on you
And answer these questions:
1/ Who is behind DMZ
2/ Why was Mary Anne Hobbs important for UK dubstep
3/ Who introduced Burial to BBC1
Bruno Belluomini will also be featured under his techno allias on the next Dance Mekanik compilation..
"São Paulo’s DJ and producer Bruno Belluomini is one of the pioneers of the bass music scene in South America. His parties Tranquera and Stepahead act as a central hub for low frequencies lovers in Brazil. Tranquera emerged in 2005 and was the first party in the Country to devote to dubstep: the nights were an instant success and soon gained articles in international websites DJ Mag, XLR8R and The Fader. Stepahead is characterized by hybridity and the recent loss of bass music boundaries fusing dubstep, house, techno, electro, garage, among others.
His first tracks as a producer date from 2005. They were played by Kode 9 on Rinse FM and by Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC. In the following years came Gent Sao Paulo EP and remixes for Lucas Santtana, Digitaldubs, Cibelle and Killaflaw. It was only in 2013 that Bruno finally managed to deeply concentrate into the studio to produce his material."
Tolouse Low Trax - Jeidem Fall (2012)
"Much like his North Ruhr predecessor Dieter Moebius, TLT deals in that kind of grindingly funky mid-tempo bracket, with layers of rippling drum machine rhythms creating an almost subliminal hypnotic friction while synths are used to add texture and extra tension." Boomkat.com
"Owing to its magpie approach to genre, Jeidem Fall doesn’t sound like anything else. The stomping electronic march recalls Throbbing Gristle at their most menacing, just as the title track suggests the skeleton of a techno beat with forestry field recordings and a digitised bongo rhythm." Bleep.com
"One of our favorite albums of 2012" theattickmag.com

Our Gentse Feesten was a succes! The concert of Minami Deutsch sold out, we had to refuse tens of people at the door. The concert was pure high level magic. Afterwards the venue ran empty so we decided to lower the entrance to free donation and we got a full dancefloor again. Thanks to all artists, helping hands & De Roes Crew! Satisfied!

How does a part of the word leave the world?
How can wetness leave water?
Don’t try to put out a fire
by throwing on more fire!
Don’t wash a wound with blood!
No matter how fast you run,
your shadow more than keeps up.
Sometimes, it’s in front.
Only full, overhead sun
diminishes your shadow.
But that shadow has been serving you!
What hurts you, bless you.
Darkness is your candle.
Your boundaries are your quest.
I can explain this, but it would break
the glass cover on your heart,
and there’s no fixing that.
You must have shadow and light source both.
Listen, and lay your head under the tree of awe.
When from that tree, feathers and wings sprout
on you, be quieter than a dove.
Don’t open your mouth for even a cooooooo.
When a frog slips into the water, the snake
cannot get it. Then the frog climbs back out
and croaks, and the snake moves toward him again.
Even if the frog learned to hiss, still the snake
would hear through the hiss the information
he needed, the frog voice underneath.
But if the frog could be completely silent,
then the snake would go back to sleeping,
and the frog could reach the barley.
The soul lives there in the silent breath.
And the grain of barley is such that,
when you put it in the ground,
it grows.
Are these enough words,
Or shall I squeeze more juice from this?
Who am I, my friend?

Presenting once again one of the headliners DJ ATHOME (FRONT DE CADEAUX)
Active as a DJ and more since the early nineties, Maurizio Ferrara has cultivated a discerning relationship to the critically adventurous surges and acutely innovative currents of underground club music and vernacular experimentation for decades now. Whether selecting as DJ Athome or working as a producer, Ferrara’s breadth of influence is surely felt and rarely drifts from being anything but mesmerizing, especially for anyone that likes to move.
With an expansive view of what constitutes crucial club-based music, Ferrara has regularly been invited to played the likes of L’Usine, Tresor, Berghain Panorama Bar, Wilde Renate, Nuits Sonores, Siestes Electroniques, Le Barlok, Fuse, Angelo Mai, Fanfulla, Pescheria, Bonnefooi, C12, and more.
That some of you in Ghent never heard of DJ ATHOME & FRONT DE CADEAUX can be forgiven.. but that you didn't experience Athome on Dance Mekanik Vol.V on Feb 11th can't be forgiven..
