Come celebrate the debut album release of Seattle Alternative Electro-Soul artist with featured performances from and on Thursday, March 6th, doors at 7pm! STIGMATA, released on Eluhu’s independent label, La fem records, available on all platforms! The album examines the stigma of q***rness in the African diaspora and the ruptures in family relationships that ensue. Titled using the latin etymology, STIGMATA juxtaposes religious and occult motifs interwoven throughout the 13-song album.
Behind FEM du lit’s compelling artistry is Francesca Eluhu, a visionary Seattle-based singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Their artist name, meaning “woman of the bed,” evokes the indictment of femininity embodied in haunted spirits, comfort, shelter and sensuality. Of French and Congolese descent, Eluhu pulls inspiration from their Afro-diasporic heritage while weaving in eclectic influences like Mereba, Liv.e, and Salami Rose Joe Louis. Known for fronting Seattle’s psychedelic neo-soul band, Day Soul Exquisite, FEM du lit’s solo project ventures boldly into an electro-soul realm, showcasing their genre-defying sound

“I’ve always wanted to play The Rabbit Box since its inception some years back, as it’s become my favorite music room in Seattle, so it’s truly a joy to get to kick off our April tour supporting Black Mountain ( which begins in LA) at the magical Rabbit Box Theatre! A lot of love and vision went into creating such a wondrous space, tenderly and diligently carved out from the ghostly bones of dusty old Pike Place Market.  I sure do plan to conjure that world I used to know and love so well, when Pike Street and Pike Place truly was my world (in the 90s) and I learned from some of the best back then. Liz Longley is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter celebrated for her stop-you-in-your-tracks voice and deeply emotional music. Known for her distinctive blend of folk, pop, and Americana, Liz has earned accolades from prestigious songwriting competitions, including the BMI John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship Competition

Singer/Songwriter Max Gomez grew up in Taos, New Mexico, where he fell under the influence of country blues early on and developed a songwriting style that was uniquely his. He received critical acclaim upon the release of his debut album Rule The World (2013, New West Records); and his subsequent EP, Me and Joe (2017, Brigadoon Records), contained a freshly minted classic, “Make It Me,” which has gained over 4 million listeners on Spotify alone.
