Legendary musician/producer Alain Johannes is hitting the road in the US this fall and is doing a Pacific Northwest run in October. Known for his work with Queens of the Stone Age, Chris Cornell, Mark Lanegan, Them Crooked Vultures, and Eleven, Johannes will bring his signature cigfiddle and acoustic guitar sound to the Rabbit Box on Thursday, October 3rd. Alain recently completed a solo tour of Europe and Australia and also toured with Masters of Reality . He is currently supporting his latest Ipecac Recording album, Hum. He is also celebrating the 30 year anniversary vinyl release of Eleven’s last album, *Howling Book(*Org Music)

The Rabbit Box welcomes Mbrascatu September 6th for a musical journey of sound!

Born from the rich, cultural heart of Southern Italy and matured in the United States, Mbrascatu (mm-brah-ska-too) is the product of Andrea Algieri and some of the west coast’s finest musicians. While the music is not locked into any one regional sound, the diverse and global influences can all be heard in how Algieri organically blends styles. Thoughtful ballads, intense rock, and infectious, danceable grooves are at the core of the band’s sonic identity - coupled with Andrea’s warm, baritone voice and soloists with backgrounds in rock, funk, jazz, classical, folk, and more, the resultant sound is something not often seen in today’s musical landscape. The heartfelt messages contained within the sensitive lyrics translate across cultural and linguistic divides, and the panoramic storytelling conveyed within each song takes the listener on a journey through both, a world they know dearly and one they are just discovering.

Duante`Suitman’ Barnett an Seattle, WA native, owns and operates SuitMan Productions and his first original show idea Deaf Comedy Jam was inspired by his own hearing loss and offers a show that unites both the hearing and non-hearing communities.

The Silos, the still-kicking band Walter Salas-Humara co-founded in New York’s post-punk ‘80s scene played Alt-Rock, Alt-Country, and Americana before any critics coined those terms. They were named Best New Artist in the 1987 Rolling Stone Critics Poll. Throughout Salas-Humara’s career his voice has remained textured like a walnut; meanwhile, his narratives focus not on interior, abstract weaves of doubts and anxieties but on storytelling. He renders small incidents in granular detail that take on the weight of attentive, convincing poetry and wry wordplay. Each tune is marked by such humanity, which offers much refuge in a convulsive time.

Monster Creep plays rock, they are an old-fashioned rock band, whose includes the legendary musicians Jack Endino on bass, Luke Kimble on drums and Allen Ensign on vocals and guitar. The sum of their credits could fill columns, but this trio is an original music-based old-school Seattle approach to sound. They invite you out to the Rabbit Box this Friday, for a special night. They will be playing most of the songs from their new LP, titled “Anonymous”, which is available at Sonic Boom!

Goblin Market, inspired by the poem “ Goblin Market” by Christina Rosetti will be featuring a reading of the narrative poem, by Stella Hawthorne, as well as singing with Noah Graham, upright bassist.
