MINDSET CHANGE โ€ผ๏ธ A TRIBUTE TO TEACHERS โ€ผ๏ธ

The Unsung Heroes of Educationโ€ผ๏ธ
(First before anything I was a teacher)

As I reflect on my upbringing, I cannot help but acknowledge the profound influence that teachers have had on my life. Born and raised in the quarters of educators, I am a product of their dedication and passion for shaping young minds. From a young age, I was immersed in the world of education, with both my parents being pioneers in the field of teaching in Ngamiland.

My father, a School Principal who went on to be a Senior Education Officer and my mother, a seasoned educator, instilled in me a love for learning and a deep respect for the teaching profession. I fondly remember my mother teaching me in Bonata primary school, where she was a fully qualified teacher, and among several other chain of schools later in Sehitwa primary school, where she held a senior position. Their unwavering commitment to their students and the sacrifices they made for the betterment of education are etched in my memory.

Despite briefly following in their footsteps as a teacher myself at Tshwaragano CJSS as it was previously known , I eventually ventured into a different career path in the wildlife department. However, my admiration for teachers has only grown over the years, as I have witnessed firsthand the impact they have on society. The selfless dedication, the long hours, and the often overlooked sacrifices that teachers make are truly commendable.

On this day, I pay tribute to all teachers who tirelessly serve their communities, shaping the future generation with passion and dedication. To my parents, who have now retired from their teaching careers, I express my deepest gratitude for the invaluable lessons they have imparted on me. The legacy of their hard work and dedication lives on in the countless lives they have touched.

As we celebrate the invaluable contribution of teachers to our society, let us not forget the immense impact they have on shaping the minds of tomorrow. They are the unsung heroes of education, deserving of our utmost respect and appreciation.

Thank you, teachers, for your tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the noble profession of teaching.
Happy Teachers Day to all previous and current teachers, I appreciate all educators.

In 1947 Seretse Khama met an English woman of his age, Ruth Williams, daughter of a retired army officer. They were married in September 1948. The marriage led to Seretse and his wife exiled to England in 1951, and in 1952 the new Conservative government declared the exile permanent. Eventually, in 1956, a new Commonwealth relations minister realised that Britain must distance itself from institutionalized racism in South Africa, and decided to allow Seretse and Ruth home as commoners and private citizens.
