When Serena was a little girl she was always interested in art. Growing up She was surrounded by African art from which her father created. Her mom was very much into crafts. To her it is a perfect combination for an artist. At a young age she saw the world differently. In her eyes beauty was everywhere. From the water drops on the leaves, to an birds soaring through the sky or how the shadows cast on the ground. Inspiration was all around. As a child she wanted to teach art and sell commissioned pieces. She knew she wanted to pursue her passion in the arts. In high school she excelled in the arts. There was one special art teacher that believed in her. Serena’s fellow students often requested for her input and she was happy to help. She graduated and went to UFV with the scholarships and grants she received in high school. After she moved into a townhouse complex and this complex is very community/family based. They held parties for the children. Serena volunteered to run the children’s events. These parties consisted of crafts, games, music and of course food. One year she wanted to give face painting a try so she went down to the store to buy some face paint crayons. These were not the best crayons but the kids loved it. She thought to herself there must be something better out there to use. She found some professional face paints that she been looking for and bought a basic kit. Serena practiced and practiced and taught herself how to properly use these products. She never stops learning. She began by painting her daughter Ciara as well as her friends children. She is passionate about face painting. She decided that she wanted to do this for a living as well as selling her custom art. She met other professional face painters in the industry. Shocked to find that they were so supportive and work together as a team. Serena is creative, fun, has exceptional speed and uses high quality face paints. There are a lot of functions where face painting adds excitement for the children. Such events are birthday parties, festivals, sporting events, baby bumps, holidays and so much more. She is reliable, detailed, easy to communicate with and fun.
