I always forget!
Every year I forget just how tiny snapdragon seeds are! The size of a fleck of black pepper, they’re impossible to see once they’re in the soil.
These will grow on under lights until early April, then be transplanted outside for blooms starting in early summer.
I think the colour I’m most excited about is Plumblossom. Check the comments to see a preview of these stunning bicolour blooms.
Rise and shine ✨ little friend 🐸 💕
What an amazing month of August! So many thanks to our community for supporting us so far this season. We’re in a bit of a lull right now while we wait for our next succession of sunflowers to bloom, so keep an eye out for our posts as flowers become available. Happy September!
These were cut a week ago! They’ve been sitting on my counter, occasionally being munched on by my fat cat, and they look great! I’ve changed the water twice and trimmed the stems once.
🌸 What’s Blooming Wednesday!!🌸
Time to start hardening off the lisianthus and ranunculus!
Wakey wakey little tubers! To get a jump on the season I usually plant my tubers in pots to put on growth before transplanting after our last frost. I will likely have extra dahlia plants to sell at that time!
What started with me late night greenhouse kit shopping online, quickly turned into: “We could build that. I like a winter project”. In the end, it’s everything I’d hoped and dreamed for. Final steps this week-running power for the small heater for the freezing nights that are sure to return, and the exhaust fan for the sunny days ahead.
This is Burt. Burt is our 8.5 year old border collie / golden retriever mix. Burt is often our welcoming committee during flower stand days and he does a pretty good job 🐶
