Four years ago, the world started shutting down, we were told to distance ourselves from all of our loved ones, and weddings and large events as we would know them changed in an instant. M + R were set to be married the weekend following the announcement of the pandemic, and while the original wedding was no longer an option— we hit the ground running on a weekday Plan B wedding. The 4 course dinner turned to a catered lunch, the guest list was cut down to closest friends and family, the venue went from a 5 star location to a loft office space— and you know what? It was perfect. This wedding sparked something in us— a reminder of what weddings are truly all about, and just how important it is to celebrate each day without knowing what tomorrow brings.

Real talk— for the first couple of years, we struggled to prioritize a room reveal. Pulling our couples away from mingling with their guests during cocktail hour always felt like it would be a bother, and our number one goal is to make sure our couples are having the best time ever.

We quickly realized that a part of having the best time ever on your wedding day is taking a moment to soak in your wedding space, see all of your dreams and visions comes to life, and if anything— have a quiet moment to reset.

There is something about making a moment out of items that can easily be overlooked. A seating chart display is one of our favorite ways to elevate a necessary element of your decor, and this beauty did not disappoint. Often one of the first things your guests see, it feels like an excellent opportunity to set the tone for the details to come.

Our site visit at the venue was timed right around the ceremony time, and so we made a point to see what the lighting on the front steps of Campbell House would be like. It was “good”, and we moved on. I don’t think anything could have prepared us for just how perfect it would actually be on the day of.

We are ALWAYS here for an excellent re-purposing of floral arrangements. Hurts us to our core to not find new homes for florals once they have served their purpose in ceremony and cocktail spaces. We will HAPPILY lug large arrangements from one place to another if it means getting the biggest bang for your buck.
