This tapestry is one of many pieces of art at our YW Calgary Hub, paying homage to the Treaty 7 Blackfoot, Stoney Nakoda, and Tsuut'ina Nations. Titled "Chinook Medley", it portrays a dazzling harmony of teepees and Alberta's rich environs.
Artwork like this reminds us that the land we occupy is not our own. With this knowledge, now and always, YW staff will both educate and be educated in an effort to protect the rights of Indigenous Peoples and support the preservation of their culture.
