Pretty details like these wood bride and groom chair signs from Naturally Chic add a special touch to your wedding reception decor.

This was a fun menu to make. I used real wood for the backing and adding rock and twine for the "lake house look". As well, I made the maple wood, paddle place card, and used a thin piece of real wood for the place mat. Perfect for a casual lakeside affair?

We created this custom laser cut cake topper and wooden cake-stand for this inspiration from Adorn Boutique and Tara Whittaker Photography.

Day 24 - 100 Days of Naturally Chic Designs

We made these "place cards" out of old horseshoes and barn wood. We also made table numbers the same way. This has been a popular pin on Pinterest for some time. They are perfect for a barn or ranch wedding!

Day 23 - 100 Days of Naturally Chic Designs

I love finding random items that we have designed over the past few years for weddings. Practically every wedding and shoot we have ever done, we have custom made something (some weddings are loaded with details and some with a few items).

This one is from a few years back now, and one of the first shoots I ever did. I custom made mini-cashmere hand-warmer favors. We made maple wood boxes and wood veneer tags.

Day 22 - 100 Days of Naturally Chic Designs

When you can't find exactly what you are looking for, most times we can create it!

For this boho themed bachelorette party at Emerald Lake Lodge, we made wood charger plates and hearts and leather napkin wraps that doubled as place cards. The gorgeous flowers are from Willow Flower Co. and design by Naturally Chic.

Day 21 of 100 Days of Design

Did you know we also create larger decor items and installations? We built this arch for a shoot we did a couple of years ago at Emerald Lake Lodge. We designed an elegant, rustic wedding with our friends Flower Artistry and f8 photography Inc.

Check out our Planning & Design page Naturally Chic for more of our posts on design and planning.

Day 20 of 100 Days of Design

These are actually a throwback to 2012 but still relevant today as the Games near closing...

Christine Sinclair in her 250 caps scores the eventual game winner (her 165 - one of the greatest goal scorers ever in women's soccer) to win over Brazil and repeat as medalists.

Adam van Koeverden represented so well over the years with several Olympic medals including , 2 , and a (not to mention his 2 Gold World Champion medals + ).

Had fun designing these cherry wood place cards, favor bags, Canadian Flag table number, hand-painted Union Jack (sorry no professional photos here, just mine).

Day 19 of 100 days of Design

This is a from several years ago. I made this seating chart by engraving on a glass mirror. We also engraved glass plates with the couple's monogram. :)

Day 18 of 100 Days of Design

We created this leather menu and place card for one of our wedding designs last year. This isn't the professional photo but just a quick snap by me.

For this table design, we wanted a very natural, casual feel. My vision was for an elegant picnic wedding.

Day 17 of 100 Days of Design

We have made many, many table numbers over the past few years. Here's one we made from wood and used a copper fill to show up against the wood.

We also made the flower boxes that held these gorgeous flowers from Sarah Mayerson!

100 Days of Design: Day 16

This seating chart is a throwback from a couple of years ago. I used an old wood pallet. I stained it to match the wedding colors. Then I hand painted birds on the wood (the bride was using pages from old bird books (with lovely watercolor paintings of birds) as her guest book.

I attached string to hang the es**rt cards which I hand lettered and hung from tiny clothespins. It was a large, rustic display that fit the theme of her wedding perfectly.

100 Days of Design: Day 15

These ones are simple if you wanted to DIY your own! I made these from my stash of 100 year old barn wood. I LOVE barn wood and not only do I like the look of it, I would rather see it used then burned (which unfortunately happens to a lot of old wood in Canada)! :(

100 Days of Naturally Chic Designs: Day 14

This is a card I made from maple wood veneer to thank the photographer for a styled shoot collaboration. I think they could also make great wedding thank you cards! I made this card 5 years ago and it's fun to see how popular wood has become in weddings ( and that aren't just 'rustic'). Happy Friday!

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 13

Lucky number 13! This is a great day to share our table numbers! These ones were made from walnut wood. They are hand cut, finely sanded and finished. A nice addition to a rustic table setting, I think. :)

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 12

If you've been following along (or just joined me), I'm sharing wedding decor / details everyday. I realized that I hardly ever share all the custom work we do for our wedding clients.

Today, is a barn wood directional sign that showed guests which way to go to the wedding ceremony. We added a few details such as the galvanized tin and blooms from Sarah Mayerson to make it a little more special. It's all in the details right?

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 11

For these table numbers I used mirrored gold glass acrylic and laser cut them. We also made the wood boxes for the flowers.

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 10

We're always happy to custom design and make custom ring boxes for our clients. These were made from walnut. We designed the couple's logo and then filled with gold so that it would stand out against the dark wood. We can design something for you or work from your own designs. Every box should look different whether it is made from maple wood or walnut, or another wood. And every box should be personalized just for you!

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 9

This one is from a few years back. I used small pieces of reclaimed maple to make these paddle place cards. They were cut and engraved then painted to fit our lake side theme.

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 8

For C + M's wedding we created a "guest book" we made by cutting wood hearts out of wood. Guests signed the hearts with their message. The hearts are meant to be housed in a custom wood card box we also made. Finally, we made a wood disc chalkboard sign. :)

Small details can be very thoughtful, like these hand drawn and then engraved on maple wood, gift tags for the couple's welcome bags.

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 6

Boho anyone? These place cards were a combination of acrylic (lucite) leather and feathers! I made the bases out of birch branches. I also made the leather napkin rings you see in the foreground.

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 5

Our handcrafted, custom guest welcome kit. Hang these welcome bags on your guest chairs to thank them for taking the time to come to your wedding! These little bags were filled with mini champagne, s'mores kits, trail mix, water etc. Perfect for a mountain wedding! They could be filled with anything really.

We made these boxes out of reclaimed oak and leather and engraved each guest name on each bag.

100 Days of Naturally Chic Detail: Day 4

It's no secret I am a huge fan of using natural elements like wood. This custom maple wood wedding program was done in collaboration with Plush Invitations. It's made from real maple wood that's been cut down to make a booklet, and then finely sanded, and engraved. Photo by Kim Payant Photography.

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 3

I made these table numbers from clear acrylic (lucite), and cut the numbers out of mirrored glass, gold acrylic. The holder is made from authentic barn wood. I personally love the juxtaposition of the modern clear acrylic, with clean lines and the rustic barn wood. I feel like it is a modern take on rustic wedding decor. What do you think?

I made the place cards the same way. I also painted the edges of the acrylic with gold, metallic plate. This was meant to mimic the clear glass, gold rimmed chargers.

100 Days of Naturally Chic Details: Day 1

Today we are sharing a handcrafted, walnut wood invitation suite we made. We planed the wood down so that it's thin (but still strong so as not to break), and it's easily mailed. It's engraved and filled with gold so that the lettering 'pops' on the wood grain. We also made a leather folio engraved with a custom logo and tied it with a waxed twine.

We wanted to make a commitment to post here more often, so we are kicking off with 100 days of Design! We have designed and made so much unique, custom decor for our clients' weddings. We really want to share what we do more (and maybe a little behind the scenes on all our hand-crafted items that we do so often, that we sometimes forget that it's new to you). Most often, what we make can't be easily reproduced and likely you would have to search all over to find the same things that we can make for your wedding! We'll start posting later today and run for 100 days straight (we're pretty sure we have at least that many photos of the hand-crafted items we've made to share with you! If we need, we'll design more!) Cheers!
