This sweet family has adopted my favourite location for the past couple of years up by the mountains and lake - a popular spot I recommend only using on weekday evenings in the Summer! I’ve been saving this image from the weekend for today to celebrate! Today we launch The Framed Focus - our own photography education community which is a dream come true. For the first while though, we won’t have any courses to purchase because we want to give away free content instead :).

If you had been meaning to take a course for me in the past, I am afraid all of those courses are retired but brand new courses on the same topics will be launching this fall with all new material. My off-camera flash wait list will also be coming out later this week but the course will be different than the usual but 10 times better I promise! In the meantime, come on over and hang out with us and enjoy the free content that will be dropping all throughout the week ❤️

Fun fact - we DON'T actually want it to be sunny on your wedding day. I mean, don't get me wrong - sunSET is a whole other ballgame, and we love us a good sunset. However, a nice soft, cloudy, overcast day is our dream as photographers! The last of the shoots are coming to a close with only 6 weeks left in the year. One more newborn shoot. One more event (anniversary) shoot. And this is the last family shoot of 2023. Have you ever had a kid during a photoshoot that wanted less than nothing to do with you or your camera for the entire shoot? Me too. This is how it went. You can bring your grumpy all you want, and these amazing parents just validated his feelings and didn't force him to do a single thing. No pressure. Just acceptance that this is how it was going to go down. They left it to me to catch those 1/800th of a second moments. It was just fine
