A co-presentation with U of A Sound Studies Institute and the Northern Lights Folk Club, the Women of Folkways concert is a celebration by women of women in the Folkways Records catalogue.
In 2021, we watched these performers virtually from around North America, now we will see them together on the same stage, sharing their harmonies and instrumentation. Join Shawna Caspi, Marie Dunn, Linda McRae, Terry Morrison, and Dana Wylie for a collaborative singer-in-the-round concert where they will explore and celebrate the music of Folkways by presenting new interpretations of traditional folk songs, as well as their original songs to expand the tradition.
