Welcome! Official page finally up - hope you line the name.
First, let me introduce you to what sola wood flowers are. They really are wood, yes! They are made from a marshy plant, specifically the aeschynomene aspera (isn't that a mouthful). But don't worry, they aren't hard and stiff. They are surprisingly pretty soft, almost paper/foam like . Some are left with the skin on, for the real wood look, otherwise the skin is shaved off to expose the natural off-white colour. They come in so many varieties of flower styles and can be painted any colour.
Although these are artificial flowers they are definitely not the artificial flowers of the 80's and 90's. These are becoming very popular in the wedding industry (and I even used them in my own wedding). Also perfect for someone like me who loves the look of flowers in their home but just can't keep them alive.
