Over 7 years (since leaving college), there has not been a year where I have stopped investing in my education. My first investments started with the Interpretive Guides Association where I became knowledgeable in Group Management and Aprentice Interpretive Guideing. Which Taught me about our Indigenous culture, the geography of the Rocky Mountains, and its history.

These topics are ones that I am truly passionate about, as Owl Eye grows, it's brand voice is becoming more clear as a Photographer in the industry that is bringing forth the meaning of environmental sustainability through being eco-friendly, culture, and one love, as well as safety for your fun adventures ahead.

With our winters becoming warmer, we will see the best winter wonderland effects from mid November to early February.

After a beautiful -50° Mid December Ceremony, I was highly impressed with everyone from down south who braved this cold. Having a hot chocolate booth with goodies waiting inside is seriously the HOW TO for guest appreciation and experience.

The best part wasn't just the dessert from for these folks going all in on the Canadian experience. It was the beautiful that they chose to have for .bride reception set up. Their reactions were priceless, and you could see it in M+Gs face the indepth shock of happiness and overwhelm on seeing their dream come true.

Since 2019, Owl Eye Photography introduced videography as a new service. July 1st, 2023 I had the honour to work with my team of 4 for what is the last videography services offered by my company.

When booking photography in today's world, having a video is truly a hand-in-hand service. While I am taking my focus to lean more on photography and hon my skills here, the passion I have for video still rings deep.

This project was amazing as I have been envisioning how the video will be produced. JDProductions has taken on my vision, storyline plot and timeline storyboard to help me piece Dana and Jordan's vision together for their Urban Jungle Wedding at the Calgary Zoo.

The last few years have been such a beautiful learning curve with taking on a leadership role in directing and producing weddings with a large team and my couples. I truly believe videography is something so emotional to look back on and re-hear the words, and re-see the looks you encounter on your special day. I know, because I always cry when I look at my video done by Jasmine.

Jasmine has come into her own with her cinematic production business! She has full-heartedly produced my productions from each scene, colour grading and editing to an extent that I learned I have a harder time doing. This is why a team is so important and which is why I do not want to give up video, however, I am extremely blessed to recommend her as a vendor that I know my couples will never regret hiring her for!

Two years of dreaming about today. Two years of planning. Today, Dana and Jordan walk the isle.

It is my greatest honor to be here on their journey, we have spent time snowboarding, collaborating with video and photo, hiking, and meeting at the venue, over zoom on multiple times, and now we are finally here !

This beautiful sunset hike was so special, we were meant to walk only to a lake hidden in the forest about an hour and 45 minutes up. When we got there, we were blessed with clear water for reflection views, a black bear and then making the spontaneous choice to get up to the ridge. Which was perfect. A 45 minute straight incline, led to what was Jordan's first view of the Rockies from above. Letting out a huge "WOW" .

These are the moments of my career that bring me ultimate joy. Knowing my couple is having a new experience while celebrating their love. Jordan and Dana are absolutely two peas in a pod, I've known Dana for many years since arriving in the mountains. From her owning a dance studio to her and I performing on stage together, I am so blessed to be by her side on this beautiful path to true love.

Kate + Evan

Kate is an exceptionally creative woman, she's planned this intimate wedding at the Tunnel Mountain Resort within less than a year. In that time Kate was going to school, moving from Toronto to Calgary area and falling in love with Evan, who scouped Kate up from an online dating platform.

Their first date was in Banff, Alberta at the Fenlends Trail head, followed by a cold brew at Melissa's Pub.

These story telling details were relived in Kate's vision for what she was looking to portray in her wedding photos in this Urban Banff Scene.

I loved meeting everyone that traveled to be here for this lovely couple, as well people from their Bible study. I enjoyed the songs they played and sang along with during the ceremony.

It was such an easy going, thoughtful day, thank you for having me along your adventure. From creating under the stars for your engagement to walking thus journey through the town of Banff. You both deserve eachother and you're so lucky to have found one another. 💕

First looks with your mom ❤️

This incredible moment was intentionally carved out for mine and my husband's mom's.

Jenny (left) and Sarah (right) started their journey off into motherhood as strong individuals. Cam was raised with a single mom until the age of 10, and for myself, I've only ever had my mom, even through her journey with other partners.

We will never forget this sacred moment, having my maid of honor Karoline walk our moms down to the river where Cam got on one knee and proposed. At this moment, it allowed our moms to see us after our morning elopement together. It gave space for them to share their words and for us to give them their gifts.

I will always recccomend quite moments together for your special day. Our moms don't like big speeches, and it brings forward those things that are hard to say. It allows time to pause and stand still and emotions to flow. We will never forget this moment. Ever.

This day was the first time our moms met in 4 years and they truly are two peas in a pod. 🌙☀️

Happy Mothers Day to all you special moms who have the hardest job out there 🌻🌷

What a blast this is going to be, a fundraising reception organized by a group of volunteers from Canmore in partnership with the Ukrainians of Calgary Association (UOCA). All proceeds from this event will go towards helping Ukrainian refugees settle in Canmore and Banff areas and purchasing medical supplies for hospitals in Ukraine.

We appreciate and welcome any support and collaboration you might consider, as our battle here will continue until peace prevails in Ukraine.

Liza is from Kharkiv Ukraine, this past year she has brought her mom and dad over. She worries deeply for her friends and family and has been a very inspirational activist raising over $20k in the last year!

I had the opportunity to experience a beautiful Mountain Proposal and engagement with her and John. John and my husband are old Ontario friends, who moved and lived together in Banff. He came to me, looking to plan something with Liza that can resemble their love in the Rockies together.

We hiked to a small ridge where Liza thought we would be doing a couple of portraits, to her surprise, tears fell down her face as John got down on one knee. She was ecstatic to say yes!

The evening was spent watching the moon come up while canoeing on the lake, later celebrating by the fire and having a campout in the Mountains together!

It was an honour to be a part of the begging of your love and it is an honour to stand with you as fight for your Country.

Scott + Toni

"Fu***ng Finally" says the cake topper and Toni's bridal cup. She was ready !

Marriage is a special commitment and it's not an easy road. It takes work. These two know that. They have been together for 8 years before sealing the deal with their close friends and family in Mexico. Scott and Toni had a one of a kind ceremony. It was authentic, real, it was them.

I've known Scott for over 10 years. He is one of my dearest friends and he was actually my bridesmaid at our wedding. He's an amazing friend who literally will be there for you when your on the side of the road, broken down and crying. He cares deeply about his circle and so does Toni. She's a fire cracker. A lady you don't mess with. She is strong, loving and word of the trip was "Toni's a saint". I've known Toni since I was 9 years old when my brother and I got baby sat by her and her friend. Toni and I have had our ups an downs, the most important thing about our story is that I get to watch her grow as a wife today and see who Scott becomes as a husband.

They have a beautiful family, they are amazing friends and I could not be more honored to have been here to capture this week.

Documenting destination weddings are really special because it's more then just your wedding day. This wedding specifically I was invited to be apart of the Bachelor fishing trip where I filmed video. Captured rhe sunrise and each man with their fish. It was the hangouts with the family in the pool and hearing stories about Scott and Toni from other points of view. It's the first look with Toni's dad, to the bride and grooms moms getting ready together. The kids playing, friends calling on FaceTime from across the sea, to family portraits at sunset and dinners together.

This is my favourite part of being a creator. The story telling, getting to know these two more then I have. I'm truly blessed to love and know you both.

Congratulations to the first week being married and happy honeymoon.

This next chapter is special. Something just changes, you become closer, bonded even more and if you didn't know you could love eachother more, well now you know ❤️🥰

Summer is finally here! ☀️☀️🌄

We're 4 weeks behind in the alpine and that means more caution as we reach the top of our peaks for hiking ! Mother nature brought alot of late rain and snow.

Liza and Jon did their proposal out at a peak that was scouted and selected by Owl Eye.

Isn't it neat?
That planning your wedding can really mean doing and creating it to be what ever you want it to be!

First looks are a lot of couples new favourite way to start the day. I know it's how I'm planning my timeline, as I currently get ready to be married in a month.

Why?
Let's think about it... when you start with all your portraits, you allow time to have great pictures before kids start screaming and alcohol consumption kicks in.

Personally I love the idea of family + bridal portraits after a first look. Everyone can go get relaxed and ready for ceremony and reception without having to wait and plan, you can just go right through that part of the day knowing you got pictures with everyone before they're all running off 💃💃

Opportunist, optimistic & passionate.

These are the three things that bring abundance into my world.

It's been a minute since I took the time to go on a little road trip for myself. This road trip lead to alot of thought, opportunity and connection making. It opened up an avenue of creating something bigger than myself.

Thanks to Nathan and Sean Moontricks presented myself with a chance to create art at the venue Traverse in Revelstoke, BC last night to video and photograph.

2017 was the last time I shot music in the festival scene. It's a route I want to pick up again. If I can make a purpose of it, it would be to help researches with forestry and ocean sustainability by story telling through video and photo, all the while making art from it.

It's an opportunity towards an act of service to give back for all the love and support that has come from all of you who has made this journey possible.

What better way to contribute by creating art and bringing awareness about our planet.

The gift of these thoughts along the travels to shoot Moontricks, lead to a beautiful meet and greet amongst their friends at dinner and meeting a lovely woman named Marquie with Fractal Five https://www.fractalfive.com/. The universe listens and by having a thought of creating art to intentional awareness, I was then set on the path to meeting this beautiful human. Who's brand represents that mission statement.

The art of allowing, when matched with the vibration to your desire, brings forward what we hold true inside.

This morning before leaving Revy, I ran into Mike who I met last night at the end of the show. Mike owns a snowmobile company and a travel trailer business here in town. After getting to chatting, it seems fitting that the type of adventures I endure in life are fitting to content marketing for his brand. Another vision I always imagined coming to light, is creating videos and photo geared to the companies whos product and experience I enjoy in my own life. Why not make something of it?
