Well, Roadies. You all know that this year was a doozy, in oh so many ways. It is not a chill time to be a small business, but holy mackerel, did our community (YOU!!!) ever show up and pull us through. We literally would not have made it to 2026 without all of you, from our roadie customers to our shop landlords, our downtown neighbors, our garbage guys, accounting gals, all of our favorite delivery dudes and the many other people who kept us going and shared in this labour of love. When we felt our least hopeful, we also felt the most loving support from everyone that it takes to keep a little flower shop and boutique like ours going. So this post is a great big huge thank you for yanking us out of the depths of 2025, to catapult us into what we think is going to be our most epic year yet in 2026!!!

From pickin’ wildflowers to makin’ bridal flowers.

When I was a little girl, every summer my beautiful and energetic mom would pop my sister and I into our pink homemade wagon and pull us down the road to pick wildflowers for our kitchen table. Our road was a quiet and magical place for two little girls and their mother to roam in search of pretty petals to bring home - we found wild roses and blue forget-me-nots, black-eyed susans and vibrant orange asiatic lilies, pastel lupins and charming daisies - the treasures were endless and ever-changing over those warm summer months.

This special road that we grew up on and where my parents still live, is called Hanson Road. And it is where my flower story begins. The impact that fresh flowers can have on a home, a person, a relationship, a room and an experience is limited only to that of the person’s imagination who is seeking the flowers. Flowers can be used to soothe, excite, comfort, seduce, mend and blossom a connection between people, and that is just one gal’s list of ideas! Hanson Road Flower Co. is based on the philosophy that flowers speak a language of their own, and that they can be used to say things that we as complicated people sometimes cannot. Whether you are a bride, hoping to find the perfect bouquet to describe you and your partners love, or a shop owner wishing to use flowers to represent your vivid style and passion for your product, Hanson Road Flower Co. can create a floral design to share that message for you through blooms.
