Hello beautiful people!

How are you all doing?

Do you enjoy the Fall season as much as I do?
I love bringing out the cauldron(🧙🏾) for endless soups and stews from Lindsay's Kitchen lol.
Over the summer I tried some new recipes and added 'Lindsay's twist' to my favorite soups and stews I found.

I am looking forward to showing off some 'new new' this season! Lol

This week I am cooking lunch for the Matrix Program hosted by the NNADAP department in Samson Cree Nation and dinner the for elders and shelter clients.
Today I made beef and cheddar sandwiches on an herb bun. I kept it simple and used only a garlic butter for flavor. It was perfect👌. I also made a homemade Mac and cheese as a side to the sandwich. I added some Dole apple and orange juice and voila! $10 lunchbox meal ready to go!

Just the other day I had pizza with shrimp, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, peppers and you guessed, pineapples...loaded on one side please! 😆

🎤"Indian summer, I believe..." 😅 That's the lyric that comes to mind when I look outside haha!

It sure is beautiful weather out there. Leaves are falling and root vegetables are harvested lol

Tonight the elders of Samson will eat wonderfully! I had my heart set on finding golden beets to boil with carrots and potatoes as a side to some slow cooked baked ribs👌.
I can just imagine the warn mellow sweetness of the beet...yumm!! Lol I hope they enjoy it!

I have not posted a menu due to a location switch for the next month. At the moment I am only taking orders for breakfast and lunch for groups up to 20 on weekdays.

I am now taking bookings for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets for weekend gatherings and events. All you have to do is message me here or email @gmail.com with your name, budget and dates of event. I will reach out to you as soon as I can!

Good evening all!
It's a short work week for those in Samson.
I'm loving the kitchen and everything that goes on in there! Lol
Today I served Meatloaf and gravy with a rice pilaf and roasted broccoli for Samson Respite clients.
Yesterday I made BBQ chicken, rice and bell peppers fried in avocado oil.
Tomorrow Respite clients can expect a Turkey dinner
Friday August 16 I will be closed until Wednesday August 21 2024.
I will still be taking bookings in the meantime for August 21- 31 2024.

Good day all!

Today was my final cater of the week.
Starting on Friday, I cooked breakfast for the elders and Samson Community Wellness clean up crew and security team. It's been a very wonderful and eventful week of catering 100 person breakfasts.

Thank you to everyone that helped serve the buffets every morning and thank you to my helper who came and saved the day starting last Thursday and kept such good company in the kitchen.

After cracking roughly 1600 eggs this week and flipping around 400-500 pancakes I'm ready to hang my apron up and enjoy the last day of the powwow.

Thank you so much Samson Community Wellness and Maskwacis for the opportunity to serve the community.
Everyday this past week was so beautiful and continues to be!
It's been a pleasure.

Samson Communtiy Wellness hosted an amazing conference, Reclaiming Our Knowledge. This is the second year I have had the pleasure of making the breakfast buffets for each morning.
Today I finally got a picture lol.
Everyday was a beautiful day and the food was good too lol.

I have a few inbox messages asking for the menu this week. I apologize for not posting it.
The reason being is I have been cooking in intense conditions with this heat we have been getting for the last three weeks. I previously made menus at the beginning of this heat spell but I could not comply with it due to it being too hot to cook certain things in a kitchen with poor ventilation. So I began to choose by day and temperature (lol) what the menu for the day would look like. I also figured since I was sold out for the week that I wouldn't bother to post. However, I realize my clients already being served come here to see what they are getting, so I will now post the menu daily until I can safely predict it by the week again.

Good day beautiful people!

Check out my butterchicken I made the other day! It was 100% as good as it looks.
Do you like trying different foods at home or when you go out? Or do you have a selection of foods and a menu you like to stick to?
I myself love to cook to international foods and love to test cook it until I perfect the dish!

I worked at the Renaissance Hotel back in 2015-2018.
There is where I really got inspired to level up on my service and begin expanding my knowledge in the food industry. While I worked in many great places before, this one was so beautifully diverse with many different nationalities and cultures to learn from, which I did and have been holding onto that knowledge shared with me by international chefs, some who now have successfully created their own kitchens and restaurants.
I share this with you in hopes that it might stir your taste pallet and get you curious about other foods.
While I do love to cook a good bannock burger, or classic roast beef or chicken dinner, I can definitely expand the horizon with a variety of different tastes and dishes.
In the near future I will be posting menu options and prices to stir your curiosity and satisfy your taste buds.
I'd like to offer more than just a traditional cooked meal and have plenty more options for your group caters, eventually branching out further than Maskwacis.
Please stay on the look out for new and exciting changes with Lindsay's Catering.

Hello all! Thank you so much for your business and support!

This coming week I will not be taking any bookings.
I am catering breakfast, lunch and dinner and for 30 people out in nature! How lucky am I?😁
I've been cooking for group camps for 5 years now and my favorite caters are the ones we do out in the wild or a cabin cookhouse. I truly love my job and this is one of the perks!
I will be away for the week and back again on July 21, 2024 cooking for the community.
My availability is limited and will be posted when I'm back!
