Office Assistant
and
Marketing Coordinator

These are part time, temporary placement positions under the Canada Youth Program.

Are you under 30 and looking for experience in a creative field this winter?

Our positions run from 9-14 weeks long, starting in November.

20 hours a week
Compensation above minimum wage

We are an event centre that was not able to open during COVID regulations. This winter, you will work with us in house and with our clients in preparation for the 2022 season. You will work closely in a team environment and online with our audience (there will be no in person events during your placement).

Office Assistant
Tasks may include:
- assisting and working alongside owners and managers on various event, business, marketing, and sales tasks
- general organizing, cleaning, setup, decor, maintenance

Marketing Coordinator
Task may include:
- Photography and video, content creating and editing
- YouTube management
- social media marketing and graphic creation
- production of marketing materials and merch
- staging and set up, heavy lifting and physical task will be required
- assist with event planning tasks

An interest in fashion, events, social media, decor, photography, film, repurposing, renovations, and automotive is an asset.

We love seeing your cars out too!

This is Ky-Lee here, I own the building, this is my 65 mustang. We had the 65 mustang down here Saturday, we had a friends 67 fastback down here late last week.

We have had opportunities to stop and chat cars with so many of you around town! I think the car shows we will host at the event centre will be thoroughly enjoyed!

Hey everyone!

We have teamed up with a new car culture brand, to lean heavier into the car events we had been planning with support from Sparks and SD&G County.

The building has some more renovation needs to be able to accommodate what we have planned. Starting an event centre that was primarily food focused, being a new business without covid support, purchasing the building just days before covid happened, the labour shortage, and capacity restrictions and forced closures, has been quite the stop and go challenge. We are exhausted 😰

But, we are on to bigger and better things within these stone walls, we are getting more centred with what feels exciting; if you like car culture, follow TriXster to see some of the cars that will fill in person and online car shows, learn some restoration, renovation, and design TriX as they go.

Next spring we plan to host the events but for now are working away on plans and seeing how winter plays out with regulations. For now, here are some pictures of the collection and friends cars that might just be droppin by!

We are entertaining the idea of some winter events, maybe an NYE party, maybe some comedy, maybe hosting your event. We hope Ontario opens consistently so we can truly plan and be able to see things through. Thanks for your support and interest over the last year!

At this time, we are closed. Thank you for your inquiries!

The original plan when purchasing just days before the first lockdown in 2020 was an event centre. We are now watching eagerly to see how events will be permitted.

A bistro, while we gave it a shot and the feedback was great, it was not financially feasible during lockdown as a new business, and due to limited availability of staff. We do not have plans to open as a fulltime bistro at this time but more so, considering around events.

We have some potentially interesting partnerships in the works, and we will let you know soon what is decided.

MESSAGE FROM THE OWNER: I had the Kona Bistro Sandwich with Salmon last night, and oh my gosh. Chef Josh is amazing at what he does. The salmon filet was seared perfectly. It had a seared peppery crust and was soft inside, perfectly cooked. The sriracha mayo isn’t too spicy, so much flavour, paired with sweet teriyaki and pineapple, with mixed greens ... wow. And the potato scallion buns are awesome—come get one while we have this bun in house! We are looking for a Head Server to join our team in beautiful South Dundas, Ontario.

Oneida Grand is a casual contemporary, modern and trendy bistro. We offer a gourmet culinary experience that follows heathy protocols and caters to dietary restrictions and preferences. We specialize in vegan, gluten free, and pescatarian dishes.

Oneida Grand is a large venue with multiple rooms that will cater to various events. As a new location, and following COVID restrictions, you must be able to self-lead and work in small teams or alone, and with management directly.

Head Server responsibilities include:
- Delegating tasks to restaurant staff and supervising their performance
- Serving guests and packing food
- Mixing and serving drinks
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Ensure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints
- Open or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift)

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a relevant role in a restaurant
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations (like managing reservations and payments)
