It's always a treat to have Chef Christine herself at the carving station. Since its getting a little cool for outdoor backyard weddings we were luckily able to hide in this garage that houses a private brewery.

Outdoor weddings are always some of our favourites, especially when we get to visit My Garden Wedding. Not only are they beautiful, but we get to work the grill. There's no better way to put a smile on Chef's face. We won't mention yet that it's likely the last BBQ of the season. 🤫
Thank goodness we have the famous scalloped potatoes to keep looking forward to. 😇

Hey all. Ill be back in Canada next week with lots of amazing culinary inspiration. I have been thinking about starting up cooking classes again in the fall.
i am curious to know who is still interested in this.i am looking at a different location downtown, digital recipes, maybe even a bit healthier and lighter and a really great price point.

It's been a crazy couple weeks. I was in a motorcycle accident and habe been in the hospital ever since. I haven't been able to send out any quotes as this place is a bunker and my laptop doesn't pick up the WiFi. But my phone does. Wierd.
Anyways my apologies to the 20 or so couples who are waiting for quotes. I have Not forgotten about you. They say I'm going home today finally. But this is mexico and that could mean next week too. As soon as I get home and get my broken self sorted, it is my first priority.

What an amazing year for us Foodlums. A lot of professional growth, amazing new staff, better standards and better plans to improve things as we move forward. This was our busiest year by far and a huge success. A few bumps in the road, but all great learning experiences. I am super excited to return to Canada in the spring to do it all over again. Me and all the Foodlums thanks you and wish the all the best for Christmas, the New year and the future. Thank you

I just read an interesting review on Google business about us. Apparently a man is angry with me because at some point I didn't give him a lower price on his quote. The reason it seems is that he was a student at the time so felt he should be given a better price. I don't have any record of this man but entitlement issues aside, are an entrepreneurs skills, education and investment worth less because someone chooses to do business at a time when they can't afford it? This is a serious question and I would love some opinions. Especially from other entrepreneurs.

For many years, I have openly advertised and have made clear to my clients that i am willing to try to beat any competitors price quote if the quality and value are equal and that they are in fact a legitimate business (there are too many that aren't). In all that time i have only had 3 people ever ask me to do this.

So when i ask someone why they went with a different caterer, and they tell me because of price, i just shake my head in disbelief.

The Foodlums Catering has the best value in the business. Period!! And as always i am willing to back that up.

And that's a wrap! Another successful wedding season under our belts and a great open house today at the kitchen. We will be hosting our next open house in mid April. In the meantime we are now booking for 2017 and 2018 weddings.
