Support local music, support Freeze the Fall 🎶

Freeze the Fall Band, a local up and coming alt/heavy rock band have launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the recording of their debut EP and cover the costs of recording, production and distribution. Within only 2.5 days, Freeze the Fall surpassed their initial goal of $5,000 and hope to reach their "stretch goal" of $9,000. With your help, these young artists can bring their dream to light and share their music with the world.

Its been over a week now since Kinder Fest and the joy from seeing so many kids having fun with their parents, grandparents and caregivers is still with us! 🎉

We had an inspiring afternoon of fun, audience participation, dancing, stories, sequins and songs! Thank you to everyone who came to Kinder Fest, to the artists, sponsors and our supporters!

We are grateful for all of the fire fighting heroes from our own communities and all over the province who have been working tirelessly to save our community. We extend deep gratitude to the tireless and valiant work you have given us. 👮‍♀️🧑‍🚒

We have received messages of support from musicians who have played Music in the Park in West Kelowna this season wishing us and our community the best during these trying times.

Our community is resilient and we will build back better together.

Congratulations to Under The Rocks for surpassing their funding goals for their brand new album!! Their Kickstarter closes tomorrow!! All extra funding raised will continue to fund their project. 🥳

Check out Locarno, headlining Music in the Park on June 23!
Music in the Park kicks off on June 23 with headliner Locarno taking the stage.
Locarno is a Mexican/Latin roots fusion band Locarno and will be sharing the stage with radically hopeful, catchy earth songwriter Luke Wallace!
Locarno's music is built on a foundation of Son jarocho ("Veracruz Sound") with influences of music from Columbia, African Sukous, Mexican Marimba Music, Venezuelan Joropo and Brazilian Forro Music. The band shines playing live, truely featuring the many talents of their members Tom Landa on jaranas and guitars, Kalissa Landa on violin, Robin Layne on marimba, congas and timbales, Pedro Mota on guitar and vocals, Aaron McKinney on bass, Liam MacDonald on drums, congas and pandero, Jocelyn Waugh on trumpet and Nick La Riviere on trombone. This act has played nearly every folk, world and jazz festivals in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. They played the West Kelowna World Music Festival in 2018 and have played the at the Rotary Centre for the Arts countless times, always an audience favorite!

🥳Thank you for the LARGEST turnout to date!!
On Monday we hosted our fifth In Tune Music Industry Mixer at where we discussed the value of attending confrernce events, networked and enjoyed a performance by emerging alt-rock band who blew everyone away!
Thank you to each and everyone one of you who was able to come out and support the local music community while connecting with industry professionals and musicians.
