Having the opportunity to play live again has been a long time coming. My last couple shows have been exploratory, vulnerable, and compelling to say the least. As a hobby songwriter, I always strive to tell a story that is accurate and allows for the song to be played differently depending on the circumstances. Seeing people, reactions, and emotions is a highlight for me. As we continue to move forward, I think back to the days of our Driftwood Concert House - some of my favourite music experiences ever. We were all strangers at the beginning and friends by the end of the night. I hope we can get back towards the right direction so that events like the Driftwood and music can continue to be part of our community and social experience. Please consider doing the right thing for music and your community!

Over the course of the last few years, The Driftwood has worked collaboratively with the Tiny Lights Festival to support touring musicians. They are a huge part of our family. Last year, over 150 tickets were sold to the Kimberley community. In the next few months, we will be continuing to work with the festival to promote their purpose and connection with our town. This may be through concerts, promotions, sponsorship etc. If you know of an East Kootenay businesses that has been inspired by the Tiny Lights movement and would like to sponsor a stage for this years’ festival, please let us know!

Part of what makes us special is our tiny size and last year our little town reached its intimacy capacity. It was near bursting with stellar talent and interested humans. We can't stretch any more and are not increasing capacity, so tickets are limited.
