Are you ready for a new edge-of-your-seat thriller? 👀

Dakota Fanning stars in , written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, and based on the novel by A.M. Shine. The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in dark forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly takes her place alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.

Announcing Victoria cartoonist and illustrator Simon Roy!

He came onto the comics scene in 2009 with the critically acclaimed sci-fi comic Atomic Heart (now reprinted as Atomic Heart and Other Stories) and has been working on a wide range of projects since, including "Tiger Lung," from Dark Horse Comics and the Eisner Award-nominated series Prophet for Image Comics.

We've got one more cosplay guest announcement! Introducing Katy DeCobray!

She's an artist, cosplayer, and adorkable badass based in Vancouver, BC, whose origins are shrouded in mystery and rumour! Katy first appeared at San Diego Comic-Con in 2009 and has entertained fans at conventions across the West Coast ever since.

Katy is a master of intrigue and disguise, creating costumes that draw from a variety of sources, from comic books to anime and video games. She has a particular penchant for personating villains in tight black spandex and impossibly high heels. You will most likely find her in the center of attention, nerding up your selfies and cursing her poor choices in footwear.

We're bringing some Victoria talent to Island FanCon - announcing illustrator and graphic novelist Renee Nault!

Known for her vivid watercolour dreamscapes, where folklore and pop culture come together, you may have read her collaboration with Margaret Atwood when she adapted the 1985 dystopian novel The Handmaid's Tale. It is a bestseller in Canada, the United States, and abroad and has been translated into over a dozen languages!
