Courthouse Concert Series Queen’s Museum of Justice Presents: COURTHOUSE CONCERT SERIES

11/29/2024

Tim, Mandi & I would like to thank everyone for coming out tonight for our last concert of 2024. We had a great time sharing our music with you and we appreciate your kind comments! We’re so happy that you enjoyed our show! We’d also like to thank the Queens Museum of Justice for their generosity over these past few years. We’ve sincerely enjoyed having access to this beautiful building for our concerts, and the acoustics make it even more enjoyable to sing here! We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous winter into the new year! We will keep you posted once spring arrives with dates for future concerts! 🎶

Come join us at the courthouse this evening for our last concert of 2024. We’d love to see you!!🎶

Looking forward to getting together with Mandi Himmelman and Tim Ervin Whynot again for some singing! We will be throwing some Christmas songs into our set list and I can’t wait to hear the harmonies Mandi comes up with for them!

Please join Tim, Mandi & me at the courthouse Thursday, November 28th at 7:00 pm as we perform our favourite songs for our last courthouse concert of 2024. A family trio, we call ourselves “It’s All Relative”, and began singing together in 2016 to promote my cd, This Time Around. After a few years of Tim & I performing on our own, we are thrilled this past year to have had Mandi joining us once again. We’ve performed at various South Shore events including Liverpool Privateer Days, the Hank Snow Tribute, and Gavin Whynot’s Annual Memorial Show. We enjoy singing a variety of songs from different genres including folk, country, classic rock, pop, gospel, bluegrass, as well as some original music. Admission is a free will offering which we will be donating to the Queens County Museum.

As I recently posted, due to personal circumstances, we will no longer be hosting events on a regular monthly basis but hope to be able to provide you with some shows a few times each year instead. Since this will be our last concert for several months, we are hoping to have a great turnout and also hoping to raise as much money as possible for the Queens County Museum, who have been so generous in allowing us to use the courthouse each and every month, free of charge. We will be performing some of our favourite songs along with some Christmas music, and for those of you who have inquired, we won’t be live streaming this event so we hope to see you at the courthouse on the 28th.

**SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT**

First of all, we’d like to send out a sincere thank you to October’s guest performers, Tim, Neil & Adam for sharing their music with us this past Thursday evening. Thank you also to those of you who attended this month’s Courthouse Concert. We appreciate your support as always!

We will be having a special concert in November on our regular last Thursday of the month with all proceeds going to the museum, however, I regret to announce that due to personal reasons, the Courthouse Concert Series will no longer be hosting shows on a regular monthly basis after November’s concert. Tim & I are still planning to host a few concerts throughout the year for 2025 beginning in the spring, depending on what the new year brings, and we will keep you posted on our page regarding dates and other details.

We’d like to thank all of the musicians and audience members who have supported us and the Courthouse Concert Series these past years, and we hope you will all come out to join us for our last concert of 2024 next month. Last, but not least, we want to especially give a heartfelt thank you to Linda Rafuse, Katie Elizabeth & the Queens Museum of Justice for trusting us with the use of this beautiful historic building each and every month, and allowing us to provide a special place for musicians and music lovers to congregate.

We will be announcing more info regarding November’s concert in the days to come, and we’d love to see all of our supporters as well as some new faces in the audience in November.

Come join us at the courthouse this month! We’re happy to be featuring THREE SHEETS to the WIND!!

This month’s Courthouse Concert Series is proud to present our very own Tim Whynot along with his jam buddies, Adam Oickle and Neil Barkhouse! They call themselves Three Sheets (to the Wind) and even though they’ve been travelling around to the same jams for quite some time, they’ve just recently started sharing their songs and love for music together as a group at some of the local nursing homes, house parties and variety shows. They play an eclectic mix of music from different genres including classic rock, folk, and country, and are well received by South Shore audiences.
This month’s concert will be held on the 26th at the courthouse and the guys will be performing from 7:00-9:00 pm. The cost of admission is a free will offering and we hope to see you there!

We are happy to have Nicole Whynot ~ Straight Up as our guest performer at the courthouse this month! Come join us on Thursday, August 29th at 7:00 pm for some fantastic music! Admission is a free will offering! Hope to see you!

Queens County (Milton) native, Nicole Whynot’s love of music began at a very young age when she started singing in school concerts and music festivals. In junior high she signed up for voice lessons with Kim Umphrey’s music studio, Private Stock Studios, and developed an enormous passion for musical theatre. “People still talk about my cowgirl performance of, “I’m Just a Girl Who Cant’ Say No” from the show, “Oklahoma”, says Nicole. Many locals have also seen her performance as “waitress #1” in Liverpool’s production of Rock of Ages.

Nicole is well known locally for her performances at weddings, our local Farmer’s Market, as well as other musical events within the community. “I spend many weekends singing with friends and I’m very happy to be lining up new gigs along the way. Singing is my heart. Music is my safe place. I’m blessed to have all these new opportunities and always happy to share the gift of music wherever and whenever I can 🩷” ~ Nicole Whynot
