To our wonderful Lush Flower Boutique family,

They say that flowers have a season for everything—a time to bud, a time to bloom, and a time to transition. For us, that time of transition has arrived.
When we closed our doors in summer of 2025, we had every intent of looking for a new studio, we took some much needed time to reflect, travel, unplug, listen to the silence after 16 long years of weekends, chaos and growth.
After much reflection, we have decided that Lush Flower Boutique will not be reopening its doors. This wasn’t an easy decision to make, but it is one made with a clear vision for the future and a deep respect for the craft we’ve shared with you for so long.
A New Season of Life
For years, our lives were defined by "the hustle"—the sleepless nights leading up to Valentine’s Day and the beautiful, exhausting chaos of Mother’s Day weekends. We loved being part of your celebrations, but for the first time in a long time, we are experiencing those holidays from the other side.
We are truly enjoying this newfound time with our family. Instead of floral shears and midnight deliveries, our days are now filled with quiet morning coffees, being present for the little moments at home, and celebrating these big milestones with our own loved ones rather than just working through them. It has been a breath of fresh air, and it has confirmed for us that this is exactly where we are meant to be.
While our boutique doors are closing, our love for this industry is only growing. We are now focusing all of our creative energy into:

Throwback picture to when I went to Maine to learn from Sarah Campbell at Intrigue Teaches. It was fall, crisp air and one part of the class we did not expect was being taught how to scare away a black bear! Yes you heard me, the class was on a farm and they had a big black bear that often came to visit so early in the class we were taught to clap loudly and make noise if Mr. Bear made an appearance. Luckily no bears were sighted and no humans or bears were harmed in this process just maybe some blooms.

Fourteen years ago, we launched our decor brand and had a passion to do weddings differently because we could not find what we were looking for in one vendor. Fast forward to two years into the business and while we partnered with a florist we were loosing contracts. I decided to start asking why!
Clients did not want to book a separate florist from their decorator! I decided I was going to start doing wedding personal flowers after which we were booking more clients.
I was a DIY florist but was always aiming for perfection and I wanted my flowers to look like the other designers so I decided to invest in a beginner’s floral course, I learnt how to care for blooms, the basics and basic flower design. A year later I drove to the US to learn advance floral and event design from Sarah Campbell Netflix’s Big flower Fight runner up. It was there I learnt technique, mechanics, we designed ceiling florals in a forest, did advance style bouquets, made some outdoor installations and so forth. After that I invested in learning with Preston Bailey, world designer and master at his craft. I learn so much more over the years and I continue to invest in learning because learning never stops.

For us it's not just any other floral order, it is deeply personal when we get an order. Each floral arrangement is crafted with deep emotion for the brand, client or event. We often add extras to ensure the client is happy, we go the extra mile and often ignore our floral recipes. Yes we use recipes to control costs but when we get to designing it gets tossed out because we are like artists with a paint brush and buckets of blooms at our beckoning call.

We have been pretty lucky and we are eternally grateful for all the brands that have reached out to support us this year.

Launching or refreshing your product? Small details matter and makes the world of difference in your brand images. The difference between a loose flower and a bloom in a vase makes the world of difference in your photos. Just take a look at these and you can see the subtle yet luxurious difference. Importantly you need to ensure the aesthetics of the blooms and vessels match your brand style so it's cohesive like we did for rebrand.

So many of us have had so much on our plate and we are in this hustle culture as if it's a race or a competition but the reality is that none of us win any awards for "who hustled the hardest" "who had most severe burnout" or "most mentally drained person" I encourage you to slow down, try to reconfigure your days so you make at least some time for yourself so you don't face the burnout and mental health challenges our owner faced in recent years that forced her to come to a complete fullstop and reset, recharge and restart her entrepreneurship journey!

An event fit for a Queen. Can we stop and admire this tablescape for one last time! The details for this forest garden theme inspired event. A moss runner, light and airy floral arrangements growing out of the moss as if part of the table (no vase is visible). What's a dinner party without candles, we used gold candleabras and gold pillar candle holders but placed them on wooden discs. We added some cut dragonfruit and limes and grapes ( hard to find burgundy and green coloured fruits) and added them to the table to seem like a feast in the forest with friends.

So.... This happened!! We were a tiny part in designing a tablescape for a well deserved appeciation event for the host of Cityline recently. When fellow Caribbean homegirl reached out, she had no clue how I had to pick my jaw off the floor. It was an absolute pleasure to design this "Forest garden theme" with nature, forest, trees inspiring the tablescape. We also designed single stemmed roses individually wrapped which was part of a "rose giving ceremony" to Tracy.
These women are true trailblazers and I was absolutely honoured to design a space that made so many people smile, laugh and even tear up as they shared memories with her.

We love themed events but if you have been following us for awhile you will have already known that. Give us any theme and we can design florals to blend in seamlessly. Sometimes it the little things like a moss mat or wooden slabs to pay tribute to a forest garden theme. Whatever the theme, try us, a discovery call doesn't hurt anyone.
