On this rainy Sunday morning, I’d like to share a story about a sweet-natured couple who recently became husband and wife on what was truly a picture perfect sunny day in May. ☀️

I met them online over a year ago and quickly became friends. We chatted every two weeks helping them build their dream wedding day - from visiting venues, to scheduling tastings, to sharing ideas on decor and ongoing cameo appearances from their fur baby on screen 🐱.

When we found the perfect venue it all came together like magic. 🪄 this venue was adorable, and quite charming and very picturesque by the waterfront in beautiful Baie d’Urfe (I’d totally move there in a heartbeat it’s so pretty 🤩). This venue totally fit them and who they were as a couple. I really love it when couples stumble upon a potential venue and you see the twinkle in their eyes.

I cannot fully explain how sweet and perfect their day was and how much I really loved working with them. It’s always sad to end my bi-weekly sessions online with couples because sometimes we become friends but I hope we always stay in touch because well, they’re simply awesome. 🤗

The sun was shining all throughout the day and everything looked very pretty. Their theme was succulents mixed with pastel mauves and blues with gold accents. It all looked very pretty in this 100 year old farmhouse surrounded by lots of natural light from the wrap around windows.

Seeing her walk to her groom and exchanging vows by the waterfront was very heartwarming and I couldn’t be more happier for them. She looked radiant and beautiful (loved the blue shoes ;) ) and he looked very happy and handsome- they looked very much in love 🥰.

I will never forget this wedding- you both are the best!

A special thanks to all their hard working vendors who were such a pleasure to work with. - some new and some of my favourites to work alongside.

We’ve saved the best wedding for last! ❤️
Over the years, I like to take a few moments and reflect on how far I’ve come and grown as a person, as a mom of two beautiful girls and as a woman entrepreneur. It grounds me and makes me really appreciate the present and be grateful for what lies ahead.

One of my very first wedding gigs was at Pavilion de la Jamaïque. I’ve met a lot of talented vendors at this venue who have now become friends. My team and I have worked many weddings at this magical place over the years. It was only fitting that my last wedding of the year took place at this venue- not to mention this was Pavilion de la Jamaïque’s LAST wedding of the season before they began their facelift renovations. Can’t WAIT to see the unveiling in 2024!

This wedding was very special to me. I had met the couple virtually and really loved our connection. Stephanie and Chris were so sweet and it was very important to them that they chose vendors that they felt they had a connection with.

It was an absolute pleasure getting to know them both and helping them tie all the details together to help ensure a flawless wedding day.

One of my fav moments with them was during the ceremony rehearsal - it rained so hard that day and we literally ran through it twice with umbrellas, in the mud, in what could easily be described as a mini hurricane 🌀 😂. Even though it wasn’t the ideal situation, it made it even more special and a rehearsal I will never forget 🤗.

Their wedding day was truly picture perfect! ❤️ They decided to hold their cocktail reception before the ceremony allowing their guests to arrive at their leisurely pace and enjoy a glass of wine and a few appetizers before the start of the ceremony. Not your typical cookie cutter wedding itinerary but loved the idea and it really flowed nicely.

Steph looked so beautiful! She’s already a natural beauty. Chris looked very dapper in his stylish apparel.
Romance filled the room. From the heartfelt speeches to their first dance and the way they looked at each other throughout the day- it was all very sweet and very enchanting.

There is nothing better than witnessing two people in love make lifelong promises to each other in front of the ones they love most.

It was a fantastic day- amazing food (G and his team are THE BEST), great music and ambiance and sooo much love 💕 filled that room.

Thank you to all of their incredible vendors! There’s nothing better when everyone works together and showcases their talent.

And to my team for another unforgettable year! ❤️

Pavilion de la Jamaïque has had so many love stories over the years and this particular one was definitely one to remember, always.

Love between two people can be felt in a room filled with family and friends. I’ve witnessed it and I’ve felt it especially during Nadine and Oubada’s special day.

One word to describe their wedding day is ‘WOW! 🤩’

It’s always a challenge to make your large scale wedding stand out and be memorable. Every couple hopes that their day will not be soon forgotten and remembered for years to come.

Let me just say that this wedding was definitely not your typical cookie cutter wedding and will forever be remembered by me and my team and by many of their guests!

I sincerely loved getting to know this special couple. I had met the bride at a previous wedding the year before. When they hired me to be their Day Planner I was ecstatic ! They were a real pleasure to speak with and honestly, the cutest couple.

It’s very special to witness two people in love and see so much magic throughout their special day.

Their first dance and grand entrance has to be one of the BEST I’ve ever seen! So enchanting and so beautiful!

You know I’m a sucker for an extremely well organized binder and colour coordination.🤷‍♀️

The day I met this lovely couple in person and the bride shared her colour coordinated wedding binder, I knew they would be fun to work with and the right fit.

I always say to potential clients, it is important to choose a Planner that fits your personality and working style. You’ll be working closely with your Planner for months and you’ll trust that they’ll execute and ensure that your special day is everything you’d hope it would be. The same goes for a Planner - my free consultation is a chance to see if we really are the right fit because it makes the wedding planning process so much more fulfilling and more effective.

This was the case for Eli and I (and Matt too!). When we first met virtually, I loved her bubbly personality and her friendly demure. I was very excited to work with them. Being from the East Coast of Canada, they enstrusted me to ensure that all the logistics were in place before their wedding day. I’ve planned many events and weddings from abroad and it is a different type of wedding planning. The couple and the Planner really have to put their trust in each other and have an open communication throughout the whole planning process.

I really loved working with these two sweeties. They were a delight to speak with every meeting and their families were equally delightful!

Eli had a vision and I wanted to ensure that her vision came to life on her special day. Their venue wasn’t your typical wedding site and a lot of logistics and pre-planning went into it. Our team is used to flipping a room from ceremony to reception in a very short amount of time- it’s our specialty! 😉

Their ceremony ambiance was INCREDIBLE! I absolutely love it when the ceremony is Uber romantic- it adds so much more to the ceremony.

Candles, flowers and dim lighting - that’s all it takes and what a huge difference it really makes.

The brides choice of colour palette and her vision of what she wanted her flower arrangements to look like were really beautiful and help set the tone for the reception.

Every single detail was carefully planned out and it all really came together beautifully. She looked gorgeous (what an amazing dress! 🤩) and he looked very handsome - and they looked so very much in love and so over the moon that their day had finally arrived!

It was truly a special day and definitely one of the most romantic weddings we’e been a part of (for sure, top 5!). Thank you to the Atwater Club for being so accommodating and very helpful! And to my amazing team who really worked hard that my day to ensure that everything was set up before the day began.

I confidently said ‘YES’! 🙌

…and that is exactly what we did together. ❤️
We planned one of the most romantic and sentimental weddings we’ve ever been a part of.

I sincerely loved every single second working with these two. They have become lifelong friends. Seeing Yasmin on her wedding day was one of the best moments ever. She looked timeless, so elegant and absolutely beautiful. 💕

Picture perfect is what I would use to describe their wedding day. From the weather, to the food, to the music, to the love felt in the room and to the heavy partying afterwards! 😂 🎶 🍸

What an awesome day it was! One that I will never forget! ❤️
It was actually my first time back at this great venue since my house fire. - I was at this exact location when I got the call from my fiancé telling me that I had to come home cause we were about to lose our home.

This time around, the staff remembered me, and right before the wedding began, they cheered me on and said ‘let’s ensure that Andrea has a great wedding experience and makes it past cocktail hour and stays to the end!’ 😂 ❤️- that was a pretty cool moment for me. 🤗

And guess what?! It ended up being an incredible day and I totally stayed to the end. I also had the great pleasure of working with my fav vendors that day too! D.J. If you hire vendors, make sure they are willing to work together with other suppliers on the day of your wedding. Trust me, I’ve seen and worked with the total opposite and it really does affect the outcome of your special day.

In the end, we all have the same objective, that is, ensure that the Bride and Groom enjoy their day to the fullest and are happy with our services.

When you have a team who understands this and respects everyone’s roles (because they are all equally important) you are guaranteed an amazing wedding day, just like this one portrayed here.

When Krista and I met online, I instantly knew that we gelled well together. When they hired me, I was thrilled to help guide the way for this very sweet couple.

It was an honour getting to know them both over the last few months. They have a sweet little family and make the perfect couple. 💕

They chose Plaza Rive Sud as their Reception venue and chose to have a private ceremony at the courthouse.

One of the great things about Plaza Rive Sud is that not only is it located on the south shore but it also offers a really pretty landscape and serves as a beautiful backdrop for your wedding pictures.

They also have different types of rooms that give off different vibes and it’s owned by PMG so you’re sure to have great service and excellent food and drinks!

The room they choose definitely had a different wedding feel for their guests- I would say it’s a mix between a standard ballroom, with a club scene and it has its own private terrasse ! 🤩

Krista looked timeless and so elegant ! And Robert looked very handsome too. They both looked so very much in love and there was a lot of amore in the room.
It was a very HOT 🥵 day. So everyone appreciated the ac 😂.

It was truly an awesome day that went by way too quickly! - they always do!

My fav parts of their special day was definitely their first dance, the groom’s speech and when the bride’s nonna said a few words to the happy couple- it was very sweet!

This wedding! 💗 I loved every single moment of it and really enjoyed getting to know this very sweet couple and their pup 🐶.

They chose a very swanky Italian eatery that oozed with cool Griffintown vibes and lots of elegance.
It was an honour to work alongside some of their very talented vendors (and in my book, Mtl celebrities).

Working with their photographer Annabelle Agnew (I’m a big fan of hers!) and their florist Rob Pettigrew (yes, he was the florist for THE Miss Celine Dions wedding!) was an absolute honour !

Every single detail of this wedding was carefully selected. The Bride looked STUNNING! And the Groom, so very handsome.

They are truly the perfect match for one another. And looked very much in love. The lighting, the flowers, and colors, music and food really made their wedding very unforgettable.

My fav part was their first dance- they danced in the outdoor garden terrasse part of Le Richmond- if you ever have the chance to go, you’ll understand why it is very magical.

Their first dance song was hands down my all time favourite. All so beautiful!

Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Cao for allowing me and my team to be a part of your special day. I will forever remember it. 💕

I am a hopeless romantic, can’t you tell? 😜

Laura and Craig are the epitome of the saying ´love conquers all! ´

In our first intro meeting, to see if I was a good fit for them as their Day Planner, Laura told me that they were supposed to get married a year or two ago but because of the pandemic their wedding plans were put on hold.

I’ve worked with a lot of brides during covid and I made it my personal mission to ensure that their wedding day would happen in the most memorable way possible. And most importantly, to help bring that ‘wedding planning magic’ back into their eyes and hearts.

I sincerely hoped 🙏 that Laura would hire me because I wanted to bring that magic back to them and ensure that their day would actually happen.

Well, let me be the first to tell you that their day was most definitely a magical one. 🪄 💕

They are the cutest and coolest couple and I really enjoyed getting to know them. Their wedding theme was retro swing because they swing dance (what 🤩! Love, love love!). Their guests arrived in swing apparel and their first dance was one to remember.

I also had the privilege of witnessing their ‘first look’ - it warmed my heart. ❤️

These two are meant to be and I cannot thank them enough for entrusting me and my stellar team to help make their long awaited day come true!

Sometimes the person you are destined to meet has been standing in front of you all along. This was the case for these cuties. It was just happenstance that their families brought them back together after so many years and the rest, as they say is history. 💕

True love. Do you believe in it? I sure do.
Ive witnessed it many times. I see how a couple looks at one another. Or the way they hold each others hands or the way they speak to each other.

It was an incredible honour getting to know this couple. They are the sweetest! And despite the brides very demanding and unpredictable career, they both did an incredible job carefully selecting their vendors and choosing all the important elements of their special day.

Seeing it all come to life is one of the most special moments. I typically like to save a few minutes before the guests arrive for the bride and groom to see their room unveiled to them. I call it the venue reveal 😉. It’s a special moment and they get to take all of their hard work in. ❤️

It was an amazing day - the sun was out and love was definitely in the air.

Eleanor Roosevelt quotes about life always seem to hit home for me.
This particular quote couldn’t be more true to life itself.

I met this lovely couple over a year ago on Zoom. They found me on WeddingWire and asked me to be their Day Planner for their upcoming wedding in September 2022. When we originally met they were still living abroad in Singapore. Planning a wedding abroad in different time zones is not an easy task and you have to trust that the person you just met online will meet your expectations and ensure that the most important day in your life will be absolutely perfect. ❤️

Little did we know, their special day would forever become a bittersweet moment in my life and created a special bond between us three.

The moment I met Krizia and Renaud I knew I had to work with them. Their gentle kind hearts and love for one another was very transparent and witnessing their special day come to life was truly wonderful.

I remember fluffing and fixing Krizias dress before I opened the main church doors for her grand entrance - she looked so beautiful and so anxious to marry her best friend.

Renaud look very handsome and a bit nervous and eager to see his future wife walk down the aisle.

Everything was simply perfect that day. Truly.
The sun ☀️ was out. Their venue was breathtaking. Their ballroom looked like Château de Chambord from ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ Ooohh soo romantic !! 💕

I remember saying to my co-planner ‘today is going so smoothly’…. In retrospect, maybe I shouldn’t of said that 😂 because during the cocktail hour I received a very heartbreaking call from my fiancé telling me that we were about to lose our home to a fire. 😞

It broke my heart that I had to leave suddenly and never get to see all of the hard work we put into planning the reception or to feel the love in the room or to work with their amazing and so talented vendors.

But, there is always a silver lining, right? They ended up having an amazing reception since everything was so detailed and planned out accordingly. And, I got to meet them again recently to properly thank them for their being understanding and congratulating them in person. And… I ended up working with some of their vendors again and enjoyed every minute of it ! ❤️

They are the sweetest couple and they really did have a memorable day and THAT my friends, is all that matters. Two happy people, happily in love. 💕

Timeless.

This wedding was simply perfect and timeless. ❤️
Lily and Joseph met in university (go stingers! 🐝 ) and their love for each eventually made it’s way to New York City 🍎.

The day I met Lily and Joseph, I absolutely loved loved loved them. They are the cutest couple and very much in love. Lily quickly became one of my fav brides because she was incredibly organized. I have a few past clients who were also very organized (which I love, btw) but she takes the wedding cake 🍰.

Too many cherished moments I shared during our many zoom meetings and on their wedding day.

I’ll always remember when I proposed how to initiate their first dance as Mr. & Mrs. - she literally shed tears and me too! Seeing that special moment come to life between two people was very special and I’ll forever cherish that moment in my heart.

One of my fav moments during a wedding is when I borrow the bride and groom and unveil their reception room right before the guests see it. Their reaction was priceless and I think her exact words were ‘holy sh*t!’ 😂

Everything came together beautifully and the sun ☀️ was out just for them. They carefully selected amazing vendors. Sometimes the chemistry between the vendors just ´clicks’ and it helps make the wedding even more successful.

A very special thank you to my team who worked very hard that day ensuring that everything would be set up on time. Parc Jean Drapeau is not an easy venue to work at- everything and I mean everything has to be set up by me and my team in a very short amount of time. So, kudos to DEM for working hard for this special couple.

Lastly, thank you to their wonderful families and friends and super wedding party and their vendors.
