Tis the season!

There is nothing new or fancy about our sugar shack but we sure do love the maple syrup it produces, and I would choose our rustic setup every time over a new boiling system🍁🥰

Have you tried some of our bourbon barrel-aged syrup from last year’s batch? There are only a few bottles left (get yours while you can!) and this year’s syrup will be aging in an oak bourbon barrel until later this year!

The perfect recipe for a cold Saturday morning:

Sliced Brioche dunked in the perfect combination of fresh raw goat milk and eggs, with a dash of cinnamon. Fried in cast iron and served with a pat of butter and bourbon barrel aged maple syrup.

We are incredibly excited to announce that our very first batch of bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup is officially ready! This syrup is our first harvest, and was lovingly aged in an oak bourbon barrel for the last 8 months. The flavour is INCREDIBLE. Bottles will be available for purchase this weekend at the Christmas Market , but since quantities are limited we are doing a 3-day presale. Order yours now for pickup at the market on Saturday. We’ll be serving spinach, bacon and cave-aged Gruyère Mac & cheese (say whaaaaat!?) along with vanilla ice cream drizzled with this decadent maple syrup for dessert.
Not local, or can’t make it to the Christmas Market? You can still pre-order your bottles! They’ll be ready for pick-up/shipping next week.

Well Manitoulin, we had so much fun with the oyster night pop-up… next up, TACOS! Join us this Saturday Sept 10 for pulled pork tacos at Market grand opening (5050 Bidwell Rd).

The market will have fresh produce from the gardens, pastured meats and eggs, and maple syrup as well as fresh mushrooms, mushroom grow kits, and shiitake logs from Heartwood Mushrooms and honey from Manitou Hives and Honey.

We are spending the day (11am-5pm) alongside (serving Corn Miso soup and heartwood mushroom tamales) and (serving fresh beverages!)
