Music & Market in the Park, OK Falls

Music & Market in the Park, OK Falls Music and Market in the Park is an annual event consisting of typically six dates throughout the summer. The market features local artisans and vendors.

Events are held on Sundays, except for Canada Day which, is held on the actual date.

It's done. Another season of Music and Market in the Park has come to a close. I must say that the weather throughout our events this year left much to be desired. It seems that we either got some rain or we roasted in the extreme heat.
Today, we got a wee sprinkle of rain that stopped before 2:00 p.m., and not a drop for the rest of the day. Despite the lousy forecast, it turned out to be a very pleasant day.
Since this was the last event that Tara and I will be coordinating, we would both like to express our gratitude for the friends we've made among the vendors and the bands. It has truly been a satisfying and fulfilling seven years of Music in the Park for us.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the many people over the years who have contributed to the increasing popularity of Music and Market in the Park.
The good people of Okanagan Falls deserve the credit for supporting the entire summer program. We do this for you.
The sponsors, the vendors, the bands, and the audience combined to make these the best summers we've had in OK Falls. Thank-you, one and all.

Music in the Park is still going ahead, despite the threatening weather. There are a few vendors who set up their tables for your perusal.
The music will start at 4:00 p.m. at any rate. The show must go on.
Please come to our last event of the season. Bring your lawn chairs and maybe an umbrella. 🤓

Today's event is a Go. Rain or shine, the show must go on (it's our last one, after all). The market will open at 2:00 p.m. today and the entertainment begins at 4:00 p.m. We'll shut it down at 7:00 p.m. so people aren't loading out in the dark.
Grant and Vic will give it their all on stage today. It is Grant's last hoorah before he and Tara move away from OK Falls.
Please come and enjoy our little market and the fine entertainment in store for our last event of 2025.

The last event of the season to celebrate our tenth anniversary of Music in the Park is on September 14th. We will be starting everything one hour early on this Sunday to allow for a full day before the sun goes down.
The Market opens at 2:00 p.m. and the entertainment begins at 4:00 p.m. Grant will be joined by Vic Cullihall (on guitar). The last time Grant performed a full concert was back in 2017.
Our vendors will be there and Ween Wag, too.

Despite the sudden change of entertainers, we were delighted that Luke and Carrie played a top-notch performance today.
Let us thank Weyerhaeuser for sponsoring the band and our wonderful audience for their kind contributions toward our other expenses.
The vendors enjoyed the day, too. The weather was terrific, with a moderate breeze to keep things pleasant.
Thanks to everyone who attended.
Remember, the last event of the season occurs on September 14, 2025, starting at 2:00 p.m., with Grant Henderson and Vic Cullihall entertaining for you starting at 4:00 p.m. The whole shibang wraps up at 7:00.

On August 31st, we booked Rumble Seat Revival to entertain the audience at Centennial Park. Due to the fact that two members of the band were recently injured or hospitalized, the band has been reduced to two members for this gig. Luke, the band leader, and his wife have been performing for fifteen years together. So, I have no concerns about the sudden change of plans.
Along with our vendors, Ween Wag will be there serving his terrific smokies and hot dogs. Naturally, the OK Falls Lions will also be there offering ice cream treats and homemade cookies.
Bring your lawn chairs and the whole gang to Centennial Park for our Labour Day weekend performance.

Wow! Rebel Luv did it again. They drew a terrific and enthusiastic crowd in Centennial Park today. We, who have been involved in the coordination of Music in the Park since the beginning, are so thrilled that Mikie and Ken have continued to enthusiastically entertain us for ten years.
The greatest reward of coordinating Music and Market in the Park is seeing the people enjoying a community gathering with local food and crafts, and great music. Tara and I will miss the festivities when we move away next year.
It takes a lot of people to make our summer program what it is; any one of which, if missing, would seriously impact the popularity of the events. Without our corporate sponsors, our vendors, the bands, the Lions, the food service, and especially the public, Music in the Park would not have grown to the success it has become.

The market is now open for your perusal. Lots of local crafts and farm goods are available for purchase.
Ween Wag is here serving the best hot dogs and smokies in the land. Hixxee's Gourmet is also here all the way from Keremeos.

Continuing with our tenth anniversary celebration, we are featuring Rebel Luv on August 17th. Mikie and Ken have been with us since the very beginning of Music in the Park, and we are so grateful for their lengthy commitment to our community event.
Rebel Luv is sponsored by Greyback Construction Ltd., the people who built the band shell. Greyback has also sponsored a performance since the very beginning of Music in the Park.
