🚨 LAST BUT NOT LEAST… R&B! 🚨

The amazing Jhona David is competing in this year’s Genre Swap, representing the R&B genre!

Jhona David is an artist, songwriter and producer from Toronto, Canada. Born a first generation Canadian to Polish immigrants, the desire to connect with others has always been a constant motivator. His passion and drive for the music industry has led him to perform and release music with his band, travel abroad, write songs for other talent, as well as build networks within several industries. “Every morning, I wake up excited about what I don’t know. I believe in collaboration, and in the power of giving before getting anything back. I feel (and have seen in action) that when we include others and allow them to pour their strengths and love into a project - the outcome is undeniably powerful."
While living in Shanghai for two years, Jhona's sound would come full circle as he would write and produce much of the material for his debut album. Noble Blue (releasing 2022) is an audio diary, tackling themes of generational trauma, strength, and forgiveness. “I wonder if people realize the growth that's necessary to complete an album. I’m not the person I was on Track 1 - I’m more compassionate. Towards my younger self, and towards the world. We’re all surviving something."

Catch Jhona at Genre Swap THIS TUESDAY, presented by Comic Alley Toys! 😎🎶

🚨 CALLING ALL COUNTRY FANS! 🚨

We’re thrilled to have Jade Naraine, an incredible local country artist, joining us for this year’s Genre Swap, presented by Comic Alley Toys! 🌞

Growing up with traditional country roots, from her grandmother, Jade started performing at weddings, banquettes and doing tons of musical theatre in the Country music genre; however, it wasn't until the end of high school when she started looking for a music producer to begin recording her own songs.

In 2015, a pop single to radio called "Cause I Can't Take Missing, which made the top 70 on media base in the USA, peaking at just 7 spots below Taylor Swift's Wildest Dreams, was released. Shortly after that, she released a self titled pop EP; titled Jade.

Jade's song; “Princess” was a track on the 2020 EP; “Back to my Dream.” The single garnered national radio and media attention for it's uplifting message and vulnerable lyrics about her journey going from a weak, broken woman to a strong woman.

Jade has continued to release strong single after strong single and says that her favourite part about being a singer is writing. “I love to tell stories through my music and use meaningful lyrics and rich instrumentation, to move listeners. My sound is both traditional to country roots, new and poppy.”

Fans are always sure to be touched by her lyrics and hooky melodies. Fans can expect to hear pop/country cross over tracks, country tracks, and pop tracks throughout her career.

Come watch Jade take on a whole new genre of music THIS TUESDAY at Simcoe Blues & Jazz! Tickets through this link! 🤩
