Thrilled to be back in-person for Canada-Wide Science Fair, Canada’s largest youth STEM event.

For my part, I managed 60+ exhibitors, daily STEM demonstrations and 10,000 ++ visitors over three days in the exhibit hall plus I organized travel for about 600 participants.

Working with amazing colleagues, volunteers and suppliers, this huge event was a great success.

CWSF 2022, my last virtual event featured over 500 participants, 66 exhibitors, and had almost 40,000 visitors. Escape Room and Scavenger Hunt games encouraged interactive participation.

Let’s meet Liette Philippe, YSC’s Manager of CWSF Travel Plan and STEM Expo. Liette is responsible for working with STEM-related organizations to exhibit at the CWSF STEM expo, as well as working with staff & volunteers to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all visitors. She is also responsible for making all the travel arrangements for finalists and delegates attending CWSF. More fun facts about Liette:

✨What do you like to do in your spare time:
Stay active! I cycle, golf, canoe, play softball, camp, hike, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and take my dog for long walks. I love to travel too!

✨Tell us your favourite science fact/joke:
I’d love to tell you a joke about UDP, but I don’t know if U would get it (my husband helped me with that one LOL).

J'adorerais vous raconter une blague sur l'UDP, mais je ne sais pas si U l'aurait (mon mari m'a aidée avec cette LOL).

After months of careful planning, we launched the virtual Vaccine Hesitancy Workshop last week and it was a great success. Thanks to everyone’s attention to detail, the platform looked great and the event went off without a hitch. A big thanks goes out to the Bespoke AV team.

May 2020 Youth Science Canada (YSC) launched the YSC Online STEM Fair! As STEM Expo Manager, I'm very proud that, two weeks after launch day, we had:

631 Student projects from across Canada
32 Organizations participated as exhibitors
7,000 comments were posted
30,000 teachers/parents/youth registered to be part of the home learning experience

We were thrilled with the results. This virtual event exceeded all our expectations!

Looking ahead, I'm delighted to join the amazing YSC organizing team as STEM Expo Manager, responsible for planning and delivering another successful virtual trade show in May 2021.
