Living in Canada presents unique challenges to those citizens who are experiencing homelessness. The daily challenge of being fed and housed is compounded by the harsh temperatures and weather that comes with Canadian winters.
Every year, Jericho Road teams up with Capital City Mission to bring awareness to the severity of the conditions that this population faces and raises money to help fund our programs. This year, on February 24th, we will again be walking 5km, no matter the weather. This year I am walking with the Walkley Walkers, one of the teams supporting Jericho and CCM.
As a smaller organization, we rely on the support of our community, and this event is a significant piece to that puzzle and the proceeds go directly toward the needs of those we serve. Below is a link to my sponsorship page, and any donation is greatly appreciated and can make a significant difference in the lives of our residents. Thank you in advance and please feel free to share as you see fit!
The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly walk to raise money for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Team up, fundraise, walk, and look closer... because it’s cold out there.
