The Holiday Gifting Menu is Back!

Every December I take a small departure from the prepared meals and I offer this holiday gifting menu for you to share with your best hosts/hostesses, friends, family, and Secret Santas. Prepared meals will resume in January with a new menu! In the meantime, this holiday gifting menu is full of giftable edibles and it’s available until Dec 16th for Dec 22nd pickup in our usual spots of Fallbrook, Lanark, Perth, Smiths Falls, and Carleton Place. Check out the menu in more detail at the link below. The handmade truffles come in 6 different flavors/dozen and are my new favorite!

A note about Christmas Dinner: I was planning to offer turkey dinner this year but the catering side of the business is keeping me booked until Dec 31st! Sadly, I won’t have time to do it all. Although a part of me always wants to try… I appreciate your understanding.

Once a month I make dinner for our . I get free rein to make what I want and I'm always trying to find a balance with each meal to be delicious and creative but also approachable and appropriate for the occasion. This month I made Italian beef stew in a red wine jus, with capers, kalamata olives, carrots and potatoes. It's flavor was so deep and luscious, what a dish! It was served with hand made herb focaccia by . Also served with a light bistro salad and lemon ricotta cookies for dessert. Those cookies were a huge hit! They're light little pillows of lemony goodness. Another dinner down. What a delicious meal!

I have some fresh eucalyptus from my market for sale. It's $15/bunch of 10 stems. You can put it in a vase for the holiday season, hang it in the shower for an aromatic steam shower, and you can dry it out after and keep as decor! I still have mine from last year 😍 Great for the holidays!

Today's the day! You can find This Momma's Kitchen at the McDonald's Corners Christmas Market, from 10-3pm. I'll be there with the beginnings of my Holiday Gifting Menu (available in December). These items are already decorated and ready to gift to your favorite teachers, secret santas, host/hostess and loved ones. I'll have cookies in a jar, friendship soup in a jar, simmering potpourri/mulling spice, candied jalapeños, compound butters, and fresh eucalyptus. Come on out and grab a few items while you can! 🎄🎁

This year you can find This Momma's Kitchen at the McDonald's Corners Christmas Market, happening this Sunday November 24th, 10-3pm. I'll be there with the beginnings of my Holiday Gifting Menu. These items are already decorated and ready to gift to your favorite teachers, secret santas, host/hostess and loved ones. The cookies in a jar make the best gifts for grandparents for a fun activity with the kiddos. The soup in a jar makes a huge batch of delicious soup you don't have to work hard for. The simmering potpourri does double duty as a mulling spice for wine or cider or you can simmer it on your stove to make your house smell like the holidays. The compound butters are a delish addition to any fridge over the holidays. Finally, the eucalyptus is a beautiful addition to any home over the holidays. Bonus, once it dries out you can hang it in your shower or keep as decor! I'll have these items and more during December's Holiday Gifting Menu. Come on out and grab a few items this Sunday while you can!

Collaboration Alert! This Momma's Kitchen x Basic Kneads Bakery!

For the love of all that is good, I am so happy to share that you can add Basic Kneads Bakery bread to your This Momma's Kitchen orders! We'll be offering two varieties to start; the Country Loaf and Foccacia. The Country Loaf is loaded with seeds and spent grains from Perth Brewery, hearty and wholesome, 500g $7. The Foccacia is crispy, chewy, and absolutely delicious and served in two flavors; rosemary sea salt and crispy chili, 600g $6. TURKEY'S ON! I’ve decided to offer Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner this Sunday October 13th. If you are interested in this dinner, please place your order by Thursday, October 10th for October 13th PICKUP IN FALLBROOK. I will not be delivering this meal as I normally would, it is PICK UP ONLY at 1517 Fallbrook Road, Balderson. I will have all orders ready for pickup by 4pm. Comment below if you would place an order for Thanksgiving Dinner this Sunday, October 12th. Roast Turkey Dinner is $20/person served in 2 or 4 serving sizes. Each meal would include roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, stuffing, gravy and poinsettia salad (cranberry pineapple sauce with pineapple whipped topping - goes fabulously with turkey!). If I get enough interest I'll consider it and it would be pickup in Fallbrook by 4pm on Sunday.
