If you're thinking about your honeymoon, your wedding must be getting close..... how exciting!
So, cast your mind forwards. What kind of honeymoon do you want?
IF you are getting married abroad, consider staying on for a little while after your guests have flown home to tie your honeymoon/familymoon into your wedding. The great thing about doing this si that there is no extra packing, no extra travelling and you are already in holiday mode! It'll also give you a chance to stop while the hosting mode and fully relax into full holiday chill vibes. Where would your dream wedding destination be? 👇💗

Let's talk wedding day shoes girls!
Here are a few tips to help you choose the perfect pair of shoes for your big day:
~consider the style of your wedding dress. IF you are wearing a traditional gown, then opting for a classic pair of white pumps or ballet flats would be a good choice. However, if you are going for a more modern look, then you could experiment with different colours and styles of shoes.
~comfort is key! You will be standing for long periods of time on your wedding day, so make sure your shoes are comfortable. Opt for a pair with a low heel than you can easily walk in.
~Think about your venue. If you are getting married outdoors, then it is important to choose shoes that will not sink into the grass or get ruined by mud.
~ choose shoes that reflect your personality. Your wedding day is all about celebrating your love, so make sure your shoes reflect your unique style.

If you are looking for a way to include your siblings, here are a few ideas.

Including them in the wedding party is always lovely, but let's face it, sometimes that isn't possible for any number of reasons.
Even if they are not in the same city or country, in our virtual world they can always help with wedding planning.
Sometime they don't want to be in the actual ceremony, but would just prefer to be in the background.
With so many moving pieces, there is always a task or two that they can do to help from walking Grandma down the aisle to minding your dog during the ceremony.
If the are more comfortable in the spotlight, have them do a reading, or hold the rings, tie the knot in a hand fasting ceremony. Maybe you are having a smaller wedding with no DJ- let them look after the music during the ceremony!

5 things you’re going to want pack in your wedding day SOS kit.

1) Change of shoes
Even if think you will last the day and evening in your wedding shoes, it’s best to pack a flat “just-incase pair”.

2) Bobby pins/hair ties/hair spray
You want to look your best the whole day, so make sure you have the necessary items for touch ups throughout the day.

3) Snacks & water
It's going to be a busy day, and the last thing you want is low blood sugar to put a damper on the fun, so pack some healthy snacks to keep you going- nuts, dried fruit or a good energy bar will do the trick.

4) Deodorant/ toothbrush, toothpaste & dental floss and chapstick. 😄
Be sure to cover all the basis so that you look and smell great. You are going to be kissing and hugging a LOT of people plus, you want to make sure your first kiss of married life is a pleasant one. 😉💋

5) First Aid & medications
Pain relievers, bandaids, tampons, medications.
You just never know, so better safe than sorry. 🤗

Matt and Charlene were having a destination wedding, but wanted to make sure that they were legally married in Canada, so we did a quick, intimate ceremony at their home with a few loved ones in attendance, just before they left. The worst part of wedding planning is menu & dessert testing, said no one ever. 🤣

Who doesn't love a dessert and menu tasting?
I know I do!

It's a great way to share something a bit special with your loved ones and also makes them feel like they are a bit more included in your wedding planning process too.
Be sure to double checking with your venue to make sure it's okay to bring guests along as there may be a fee, but normally there's plenty of food to go around.

🌴 Planning a destination wedding?
It is highly recommended that you get married here before you marry elsewhere.
Why you ask? 🤔
Well, let me tell you!

1. It's super easy to check legal credentials of Canadian officiants.
2. It's way easier to correct a mistake on legal documentation if your wedding occurred in Canada rather than dealing with authorities in another country, possibly in another language.

3.To avoid having to get your documents translated from another language. Once documents are translated, some countries require you to have them legally certified by a professional, and legalized by the Embassy/consulate.

4.There are more documents required in some countries than needed in Canada and some countries require a blood test!

5. You can order your marriage certificate from your home province.

6. Some countries require couples to be in the country for a certain number of days prior to the wedding, and some resorts require minimum stays and a minimum number of rooms.

7. Grandma and Grandpa and those friend with tighter budgets may not be able to make the trip but want to celebrate your love with you. 💗

So, by all means have that destination wedding, just dot all your i's and cross all your t's by doing a small ceremony here beforehand. 💗
