Part 2-Pams Group Travel Final Day Rome Italy. We woke up on our final morning to a dreary and another rainy start. The disembarkation off the cruise was smooth and quick. We met our driver and started on our driving overview of the city including beautiful fountains and the Vatican before we met our guide Valentina who would provide a fabulous tour of the coliseum. The sun finally broke out and the rain stopped providing us with wonderful weather to tour.
Our driver recommended a fabulous final lunch restaurant where they made fresh pasta in the middle of the restaurant. By the time we came out people were lined down the street to get in.
After lunch we toured a few more spots before heading to our last hotel. We finished with a low key night to ready for our departure the next morning .
Last hours at the airport ended as it all started a few weeks early with some Processco and some laughs.
It has been a fabulous 3 weeks with new friends and I look forward to hosting many more in the future!

Part 2 - Pams Group - Naples
Well it has been quite a day! The plan was a drive down the Amalfi coast to Positano , having lunch there, finishing with a tour of Pompeii before heading back to the port.
We started travelling in torrential rain which caused landslides and highway closures enroute to Positano and spent one hour traversing 5 km in a tunnel. We were unable to get to Positano due to the road closures and instead visited a great limoncello shop in Sorrento before enjoying lunch. Roger enjoyed his daily bowl of tomato soup. We made a longer than usual trip back to Pompei giving us only one hour to do the fast version of the highlights of this incredible archeological site in order to get back to the ship on time. We did it! Over major rock roads and pouring rain but we did it. We got back to the ship to enjoy a beverage at our favorite “back to the ship” Tavern.
We had our final dinner onboard with our great servers JenneBeth and Ophelia and headed to our final destination of Rome with calm seas and continued rain.

Part 2 - Pams Group Day 6- Cyprus
Arrived into Cypress the 3rd largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily and Sardinia.
Some routes the old city and some visited the ruins in Kourion. They were so advanced 3-4 thousand years ago. They had steam baths , warm baths, cold pools and beautiful mosaic decorated floors. I saw Achilles House who fought and died in the Trojan war. He died from an arrow wound in his heel. Thus where we got the wording for Achilles tendon and Achilles heel.
You can see on the map we were only 150 miles from a war zone in Beirut. These events in the world are so sad.
Dinner and dancing were in the agenda this evening. Coming up 2 well needed days of R and R sea days before arriving arriving in Italy.

Part 2- Pams Group Day 5- arrived in another beautiful port. Bodrum, Turkey also frequented by the rich and famous . Just missed Bill Gates . Took an interesting little boat from the pier over to the Castle of the Knights of St Peter. This interesting site also houses many ancient artifacts from over the last 4000 centuries BC. Had some fun with some school kids on a school trip. Toured for a few hours and then enjoyed some Adult pool time.
First time during our busy trip to enjoy the pool . That was after our lunch and a serenade of a full playlist to remind us to wash our hands. This ship equipped with large sink areas at the entrance of the buffet.
Evening started a beautiful sunset and pink sky and then with the always fun silent disco. Not so silent when everyone singing the tunes lol.
After dinner enjoyed a great show with Frankie Vallie singers .

Part 2 -Pams Group Day 3. Off to Santorini by tender to meet our guide for our private tour. Saw all the sights from end to end including Firo, beach towns , ruins of Apirotiki , beautiful white and blue buildings of Oia and a surprise engagement. I was thrilled to share my photos and meet the lovely couple on our ship.
Finished the day celebrating Linda’s birthday.

Part 2 - Pams Group Day 2 - started breakfast with the same beautiful view of the Parthenon.
Hopped on the Hop On Hop Off bus for a city tour. Walked around the Acropolis to get an up close and personal view. After a great tour of the city highlights we proceeded to our new home for 8 nights- Explorer of the Seas.
A little shell shocked coming from 34 passengers to 3400 passengers but all good so far.
Larger than normal pools and public areas .
Great first night! Early to bed for early tour in Santorini in the morning .

Part 2 - Pams Group Day 1
Arrived on time in Athens 37 degrees and headed to our perfectly situated hotel.
Views of the Acropolis in one side and the Temples of Zeus on the other. Amazing roof top bar and restaurant with spectacular view morning and night. Walking distance to all the major sites.
Found a great family restaurant for typical souvlaki and a stroll around the base of the Acropolis. Enjoyed some local musicians before a night cap and early night to get ready for day 2 city sightseeing and next cruise embarkation .

Last day . Pam’s Group Croatia Last night in Dubrovnik. Passed the walled city from a higher Point which provided spectacular views. Security was high everywhere today. Roads were lined with police and police boats were patrolling in all the harbours for the European summit including President Zalenski from the Ukraine . Walking tour of little town of Cavtat. Again beautiful seaside promenade filled with coffee, gelatos, cafes , shops and restaurants .
They value their cats here. This fellow enjoying the still statue for his cat nap. We visited this artist birth home which he painted most walls and ceilings. Much of his work displayed. Staying in a hotel tonight but finished the evening and our goodbyes with a unique group dinner. Till next time!
