We have started the menu customization process with next seasons couples and have a few words of advice to anyone planning a bar menu!
1. Kegs or Cans: If you plan on buying a keg for your special day skip the cans/bottles. Nothing is worse than having a half full keg at the end of the night and a bunch of half empty cases that can’t be returned. - if you do decide you want to do both, buy small pack cases so you can return any unopened ones!
2. Wine: Do U-Brew. You will not regret the savings you are about to have. 30 bottles for $150 is $5 a bottle. You can’t even get wine that cheap out of province. If you plan on doing table wine this is 100% a necessity.
3. Coolers: Don’t go nuts on coolers. When you have a menu with lots of choices coolers are the last thing to be grabbed. Make sure to have a zero cal option and a cider and you should be good.
4. Highballs: Make sure to stock your bar with the classics: Vodka, Rum, Whiskey, Gin, Tequila. Popular Liqueurs to have on hand are: Blue Curaçao, Triple Sec, and Sour Puss
5. Signature Cocktails: Try to choose a cocktail that is quick to make. If you decide on an elaborate cocktail you sacrifice efficiency and nobody wants to wait 20 minutes in line for a Mai Tai.
We hope this helps! Happy planning! 🍻
