You know I can’t have love for flowers without a little shout out to these fantastic pollinators!

Meet Fred, he felt the need to ride on my daughters hat for a bit after proceeding to visit a number of blooms in our garden and then went back to riding on her hat again. So of course my friend to all nature 6 year old had to name him.

I’m loving this colour of yellow. I think all fall special products will have a variation of that yellow and burnt orange.

Floral choices… they are so important, not just for aesthetics but budget. 3 Ways To Choose Right!

1. Try your best to pick flowers you love in their season ( more budget friendly)

2. Pick ones that will last for your entire event. Some flowers withstand temps/ wind/ rain/ movement better than others

3. Pick ones that compliment the others. You want a wow focal flower and the rest of the flowers to add texture, line, shape and compliment the wow.

Roses of many varieties are my favourites to use but they are not cheap… know your budget and if you are not particular on a flower select based on the palette you love.

The colours of summer nearing… my rose bush is full of bees 🐝 and oh so fragrant. I prepping for a wedding and all I can think is, how can I add these beauties to my dried products later…🤷‍♀️💐 What do you do with flowers that have expired?

1. Throw them in the compost
2. Try and dry them upside down but end up throwing them in the composts anyway after they dry
3. Dry them and make art or decor
