Our programs include: school hip hop workshops; low-cost drop-ins; and bursaries for children and youth with financial need to participate in valuable dance programs. Our programs motivate students, increase self-esteem, build confidence and create community. 💃🎼🩰

Besides excellent training in dance, students can become empowered to actualize their potential, be socially responsible and create positive change.

"I think it’s a hidden secret, and it shouldn’t be. A Star society does so much and it’s affecting a lot of children who would not normally be introduced to dance, and it’s not just about ballet. It could be hip hop, it could be breakdancing, it could be popping. There’re so many different styles and so many different kids that would be interested in all those different styles. And to me, it’s a very important charity, a very important organization that brings something important to kids. That’s something we need to get the word out."

Ever felt like you hit rock bottom, drowning in hopelessness, wanting to escape it all? We've been there. But just when it seemed darkest, a glimmer of light pierces through, breathing hope and joy back into our lives. For Sunny, that light is dancing. It's what lifts him up, reminding him of the beauty and happiness life has to offer. It's okay to admit to those dark moments - after all, we're only human. But remember, don't give up. Life has a way of shining through even the darkest of times.
