✨ending of an era✨
Hold tight folks, this is a long one, but please read to the end!
In 2021, we were still amidst a global pandemic that allowed us the opportunity to negotiate a very attractive lease agreement with our landlord; the space had been vacant for some time and she was wanting to see the space utilized. This lease was below the current market. This worked great for us as we grew our business, got a feel for this side of the industry, and will be forever grateful for our landlord’s generosity.
We knew there would be a deadline on this deal, but based on our original projections, we had no concerns. The wedding industry was booming from a backlog of weddings due to the pandemic and even once it returned to “normal” we would be fine!
During our time operating our space, new venues have popped up around the city, similar in size and offerings. We are of course happy that there are options for couples, but also realized this changed our projections and access to couples getting married.
It is for this reason that we have decided to get back to our roots as wedding and event planners and step back from the venue side of things when our lease expires in 2025.
What does this mean for 2024?!
Our hopes is that we can fill the space with as many gatherings and celebrations, allowing our community and city to enjoy the space as much as we have.
We have loved being able to bring people together in a space that truly makes our hearts so happy (don’t read this wrong; there were challenges, ALOT of them, but the pride in being the foundation of some really beautiful life moments, company celebrations, education moments, etc outweighed the challenges) and hope to be able to add a few more memories in this space while we have it.
