Hello!
It’s pretty easy to pinpoint where my love of entertaining came from. I had a grandmother who had entertainment down to an art. She was a woman who came from a time when she would entertain her husband CEO’s to secure his promotions within the company. When I was a child, I would use her grand assortment of fine china and silverware to practice setting up parties with her. When I grew older, I would follow in her footsteps taking over holiday dinners and sports team events, remembering how she had meticulously organized and planned everything down to the smallest detail.
My love of design and planning has followed me forever and always carried over into my work. Leadership and the skills that accompany managing a team of people have been key components of my past professions, and my passion for design, fashion and decor serves me well in this industry. My skills proved useful volunteering for schools and civics soccer teams, I had the opportunity to plan fundraisers and meetings for some of Sault Ste. Maries community events.
What makes my heart hum? I’m a closet interior decorator, I love to paint (nope, not watercolours, the Benjamin Moore kind), I’m always excited about having people over for dinner, and I love giving back to my community. Outside of spending time with my four children, I devote much of my free time to volunteer work. My daughter showed deep interest in the family knack, and quickly became ingrained with the ins and outs of the world of entertainment and is now my partner on many of our passion projects. We often bounce ideas off each other and work with fluidity to make our visions come to life. We share many talents in addition to the many other skillsets valuable for event planning. Kira excels in marketing, hands-on projects, making personalized signs, photography and more.
