Are you dreaming of a white wedding?

Peer inside as we walk you through a glorious and joyous day.

A vivacious bride with an endearing smile, a captivating groom with a mischievous grin, two doctors and their mighty Gus, celebrated their two cultures in a most elegant and authentic way.

The essence of Rym-Dalia and Ghislain, and their love and excitement, evidently jumps off the screen. And, GUS in his tux asks, “How cute are those “GUSlinks!?!"

Highlights of the day would have to be their entertaining and well choreograpohed first dance, Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” and secondly, her exotic dress change entrance and graceful step into an Algerian dance, first with her Mom and then accompanied by her husband and their guests.

One mustn’t forget the glee in the eyes of the guests while traditional and delicious Algerian desserts, painstakingly and lovingly made by Mom, were being passed out in beautiful gift boxes while Algerian music played.

Of course, henna on the patio was a must and a hit!

Rym-Dalia and Ghislain attended a couple of Whispering Willow weddings as guests, and then, their special day arrived to become husband and wife, and if Whispering Willow is lucky, they will return as both husband and wife and wedding guests, again! 🤍

A beautiful Bride with a beautiful name, Daniela.
Pierre, a debonair Groom who adores her.
Their flower girl, their daughter, their world, the lovely Lily.

Dinner and dancing, fireworks and flowers, laughter and love overflowing through tears, hugs and high fives, cocktails and cupcakes, and heartfelt words. T'was a day to remember.

Her Mom, "I have enjoyed this day so much!" before she was surprised with the most thoughtful gift designed by her daughter that brought tears to many eyes.

Her Sister, "I hope I find a love like Pierre and Daniela's someday."
(after meeting her absolutely adorable sibling, we are sure of it)

By far, the most beautiful moments for us at Whispering Willow is when we see the way a couple looks at each other, and we are so grateful that we can feel that 'awwwwww' emotion every time we look at the photos captured by their photographers, thank you, HOLLYHOWEphotography, you really captured so much love in your 'sneak peak!'

Childhood sweethearts.
He calls her his Queen. She calls him her King.
More rare than a diamond, just like his Queen, he proposed with her favourite, an Alexandrite ring.

A most romantic moment and a first for WW, Erica and David's Ceremony was outside but their personal vows to each other, spoken in the barn, under the chandelier, surrounded by family and friends. For his Queen, nothing less than a poem he wrote.
(Goosebumps and tears)

Looking through their photos,
you'll see love, sunlight and flowers,
a nice break from all this rain. 💜

Mango Margarita - as good as it looks! 😋
(Thanks to HOLLYHOWEphotography)

Rim with sugar, add tequila, cointreau, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, fresh mango puree and top with a delicate and edible nasturtium flower from O'Sea Lavender and Cut Flower Farm
The flowers are sweet to start and then turn spicy like a radish, delicious.

CHEERS to the weekend, folks!! 😀

We LOVE 1sts, and this, is hopefully the beginning of a new trend, wink wink.

Celine and Remi celebrated their 5th year Anniversary, October 5th, 2019, with a photo shoot recreating some of their wedding photos.

We also LOVE the idea of repurposing a dress by hemming it. ❤

Their Flower Girl and Ring Bearer, l'il Miss Lexie, soooo precious, don't ya think!!?!! 🥰🐾

Have you seen these around town since October 1st?

We wanted to thank Matt and Chera from Yorke Photography in a big way, for always sharing their exceptional talent with us, gifting us with thousands of amazing photos over the years to use as we desired and asking nothing in return.

When asking Matt and Chera to put together something for us, they thought it was for Whispering Willow, and when they sent us the proofs, we saw that they chose not to add their logo to their photos as we requested, Matt wanted to keep it less cluttered and there was no changing his mind. (Even after creating these for us, no charge! )

Our billboard contract was already signed so we ran with it and thought we would do a Shout Out here, to thank them, for the selfless human beings that they are, personally and professionally. They deserve all the love, appreciation and respect that we can muster, and as big as we can go, enter Billboard!!

They may be humble, but it would make us so happy If you pass by and see these photos and think 'That is Yorke Photography'

1st billboard photo - Vicky and Mario - September 9, 2023
2nd billboard photo - Rym-Dalia and Ghislain - August 31, 2024
3rd billboard photo - Julie and Alex - August 29, 2020

The billboards are scheduled to change in December, I wonder which photos will be next?

Arnold Targett's wish, a joyous gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life, and as you can see from the photos, his wishes were granted.

His children did an outstanding job of gathering everything that meant something to him, he was a sentimental man, no treasure too small, or too big, - "Arnie's Baby" - was left out.

When everything was being dropped off, I met Ernestine, his wife; a gentle woman with a warm heart that enveloped you. She spoke of Arnie being present for his Celebration of Life.

While setting up, touching Arnie's things, thinking of the man he was, I was hoping that he was approving of how they were being displayed.

After everyone had departed, we sat down for a glass of wine and reminisced about the day.

It was time to go.

One last look around, to take it all in.

Three people, including myself, had blown out all the candles, and as usual, at every event, we double checked before sitting down.

Even though it stopped me in my tracks, I was not surprised to find a sole candle lit, and that candle for a reason.
(The last photo.)

Arnie was present, and I think it was his way of saying,
( I approve of the Gone Fishing sign, I had asked all the staff, several times, if I should add it. )
and,
"Thank You for everything.
Please tell Ernestine, I was here."

Not too long ago, a man, his wife and one of his daughters drove down Whispering Willow's driveway because he had heard about the property and wanted to see it. Sadly, we didn't get to meet them on that day.

Shortly thereafter, the unexpected happened and his daughter, Kelly, who was with him on that drive, reached out to ask if we would consider hosting his Celebration of Life.

A pillar of the community, as you can read below, we are sure he was well respected and loved. After meeting his family, we are absolutely sure, like them, he was kind, humble, thoughtful, warm and loving.

We didn't get to meet this great man, however, it is our privilege and honour to embrace the esteemed opportunity to host his family and friends while they celebrate their love for 'Arnie'
