A social purpose driven wedding venue!! Finally!!🥳

If you have not learnt , make sure you check it out! They can host intimate weddings of up to 40 guests. Stella's Brasserie is a new social enterprise run by Stella's Circle. They provide training opportunities to marginalized population and provide them with skillsets to integrate into the market. They also have Meals Squared Program to address food insecurity in the community.

🌟Potted plants for your wedding decor: Sustainable wedding remains to be the big trend for 2025. Consider adding cute potted plants as your wedding decors. They can be given out to your guests as gifts too!

🌟Dried flower bouquet: Fresh flowers are great, but dried flower can be kept for longer period of time. Dried flower bouquets can be kept for YEARS if they are handled properly (e.g. avoid humidity...).

✨"As you age" table numbers
Include you and your partners photos in the table numbers 🥰 How did you look like when you were 1? Guests would be interested to go through all the designs for table numbers, and learn about both of your childhood! Design templates are available on Canva!

✨Ballon backdrop
Get helium balloons and tie them with matching ribbons. Easy for set up and is elegant for pictures!

✨Glass ring box with moss
If you are tired of the wooden ring box? Consider glass ring box with moss to give a sense of nature in the wedding.

✨cake pops
Replace wedding cake with cake pop! Local pastry shops such as do make fun and cute cake pops! It is easy to distribute, fun, and loved by adults and kids!

✨ Hair bows
bows are cute and it is now trendy to use bows in the hairstyles! Match your wedding dress and make the look fun!

Yikes! On average, a wedding produces 400lbs of waste! Where does most of the waste come from? 🧐

10% of the waste are food waste. Once the food is served on the table, they are often not accepted for donation. You can communicate with your caterers about serving and refilling the food on need basis. It is okay that the buffet bar is kept just half full!

Check with your friends/ online on their catering experience - learning about the size of each portion! 🍽

Lastly and the easiest way, update your caterers when there is change in plan!

✨ Scavenger hunt!
Let your wedding be part of their game! Engage the kids by setting up a scavenger hunt - it can be an animal, a cupcake, or a guest!

✨ Temporary tattoo station!
Both adults and kids would enjoy this! You can get wedding themed temporary tattoo stickers and lay them out in the station! Keep a water spray for guests to stick in on their skin.

✨Rock painting!
Let the kids DIY the place cards with their own creativity! Set out a rock painting station so that they can paint the rock and write their name on it. If you prefer to keep it clean, consider alternative options such as getting alphabet stickers!

✨ Photo booth!
Photo booth for kids is of course kid-centric! Incorporate cartoon characters in the props, give them options to choose from, and let them be the photographer too!

✨September passed so quickly that we have to keep up the pace of recording the entrepreneurial journey!

Early September, I am fortunate to speak at the Open House to share the student entrepreneurial experience with and . I was a participant of Illuminate program in 2023 and was grateful to have made it to the pitching competition finalist. Illuminate is a program organized by for female and gender diverse students to explore entrepreneurship and cultivate the business ideas. This is certainly a safe space for female and gender diverse students to talk about their ideas, share the concerns, and grow as a cohort. Entrepreneurial space has been dominated by male and having such a safe space is crucial. My journey with Illuminate program has been fantastic and I encourage you all to participate!🧚

Real story of a bride - Lana. 💗

Lana had her wedding few years back and understood the cost burden of arranging a wedding. She supported the idea of affordable and eco-friendly wedding. She shared her used wedding items with us, supporting the establishment of a community wedding inventory.

Two weeks later, a bride rented the wedding bouquets for her wedding. The bouquets are given a new life and repurposed from waste. Brides are benefitted from affordable cost ($20 for 2 bouquets!), and we are able to pass love on through the work we do.

It's our fifth wedding leftover donation in 2024 wedding season!

Thanks to Lisa's generous donation, the wedding leftover flowers was passed to Caribou Memorial Veteran Pavilion and Pleasant Ville Tower for their residents to enjoy. Flowers are repurposed and shared warmth to the community. Community project always comes with a mission. For our case, pass love on is our mission.
