Before we all head into the holiday season and get ready to welcome a new year, we want to say thanks for your support in 2024.

A lot of work has happened behind the scenes this year for The Masonic Project as we get closer to finalizing the plans for its development and programming.

Swipe for some of this yearā€™s photo highlights and check out our 2024 project recap here: https://themasonic.ca/journal/2024-recap/

Two years ago today, we were putting the final touches on our meet & greet event to introduce Morgan and Duncan MacRae as the new owners of The Masonic! Weā€™re still so grateful for the connections we made that evening. Time certainly flies when youā€™re having fun (and working on a 130 year old building!).

Yesterday, The Masonic team had the absolute privilege of visiting The New Dawn Centre and Eltuek Arts Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia to learn about their work and how their values and principles align with our project. The conversations we had with the team there were invaluable. What an amazing and inspiring day, and we canā€™t thank those we met with enough for making the time for us. If youā€™re ever in the area, we highly recommend adding the centre to your plans! šŸ’•

Hereā€™s a look into Where to from Here: A conversation about the future of arts and culture hosted by The Masonic Project.

A big thanks to all participants and everyone who helped bring together two and a half days of learning, sharing and exploring strategies that support the many aspects of a successful arts and culture community in NL.

And thank you, Up Sky Down Films, for capturing these momentsāļø

As we approach the holiday season, we wanted to share one of the many highlights of 2023 for The Masonic Project.

Earlier this year, we partnered with Trinity Hall, Winterton NL to ensure the historic pipe organ, which was housed on The Masonic's top floor, found a new home where it could be loved and enjoyed for many years to come.

Here is the story of just how this partnership and journey came to be.

Happy watching and happy holidays! šŸŒ² Hereā€™s to 2024! šŸŽ‰
