Hi folks! It seems our good Mr. Penny will be undergoing a procedure in the coming weeks that will require him to keep his distance from folks for a little while. Unfortunately this will coincide with the upcoming From Stage to Stage show. This of course means we’ll have to haul anchor and move the show down the road a bit.
Rest assured though that this is not a setback in Dave’s recovery but rather a major step towards his better health.
Refunds will be issued through the LSPU Hall box office and we encourage you to keep your eyes peeled for when we’re back at it.
A big thanks to the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival for the support and we look forward to future partnerships.
We’re sad to miss you this time around but we look forward to seeing you all soon.
The box office should be in touch soon - if not already- with refund details.

Next week! Matthew Byrne from Newfoundland combines traditional folk songs and storytelling like few others and continues to establish himself as one of Canada’s most authentic and vital trad voices. Last at the Rogue in 2018, Byrne returns to the west coast after recently recording his 4th studio album in Sheffield, UK, produced by the one and only Martin Simpson.
Set to be released in Fall 2024, it features instrumentation by some of the finest musicians on the English folk scene including Nancy Kerr, Andy Cutting, Liz Hanks, James Fagan, Louis Campbell and Ben Nicholls. Byrne’s previous two recordings were each awarded Traditional Album of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards and this highly anticipated 4th album is sure to further grab the attention of traditional music audiences across Canada.
