I am constantly in awe of this job and the amazing things it allows me to capture. I first met these two for Sierras grad photos a few years ago and then again when I made her freeze her butt off for a creative lake shoot. So needless to say when Harlan reached out to me about his plan to propose I was ecstatic!! The sketchy road in, and the coldest wind ever were well worth it for this beautiful moment.

So here we are Oct, the dreaded month of photographers and Farmers alike. Unfortunate for me those are my two occupations.

I think it’s safe to say that I am not running at full capacity. Today has definitely been a wall, you know those days where you’d rather go for a 10km run then have to make one more decision? I’m there- I was there three 17hr day, days ago. So that is why today, on my Instagram post day, I was so excited to share with all of you this beautiful wedding. I had a little melt down, am unable to decide which of the photos I should share. And sent them all to Jaycee and asked her to post for me - so be nice to your photographers this season. We may be one small decision from total system failure!!
So thankful for Jaycee taking this one last to do/ decision off my hands.

My favourite part of having two kids is how much they love each other. Giggles have never sounded so sweet. I can’t wait for this beautiful family to experience that with their two boys 🤍

Today, we’d like to Introduce Dallas! Dallas has been a photographer for as long as she can remember. When she’s not capturing moments, you can guarantee she’s doing something, whether travelling or tending to her many animals on her farm! Dallas tries her very best not to influence her subjects. Her process is photojournalistic documentation. She believes in building a relationship prior to the wedding or shoot. During a shoot or a couple’s wedding portrait, she hangs out and chats with her couples with a few suggestions. On a wedding day, she finds it best to be more of an observer, documenting the day’s events without influencing actions or emotions. Her priorities are time, honesty, connection, and friendship. She describes her work as HONEST Dallas is excited about more destination weddings in her future! Next up is Megan! Megan joined the Dop team in 2021 and has since captured many family moments and weddings! She lives on a beautiful farm in central Alberta with her husband and two growing children! When Megan isn’t wrangling her clients and their families, she’s on her farm wrangling her own kids, gardening or chasing cows! We have a bunch of new faces joining us here, so we thought it would be time to re-introduce ourselves! First up is Jaycee! Jaycee was the first to join Dop in 2019. She worked alongside Dallas, growing her skills and learning everything she could. Jaycee lives in central Alberta with her husband and three beautiful daughters! Her style of photography is artistic documentary, meaning she will be there to observe her subjects, capturing the moments that come naturally with little to no direction from her artistic view. When Jaycee isn’t chasing sunsets with clients, you can find her with her family, either at the cabin in bc or running around home!
