Happy weekend! It’s my first wedding-free weekend, and I’m reflecting on what an incredible season it has been. My heart is so full of gratitude. This summer, I made a conscious choice to slow down—for my own sake—and it allowed me to dive deeper into creativity, connect more meaningfully, and truly embrace the rhythm of the season. I’ve always felt deeply attuned to the changing seasons, and while floristry honors that connection, summer’s intensity has sometimes felt overwhelming. With each new bloom, I found myself thinking, "Oh right, it’s late July—of course, the zinnias are here!" This year, the pace felt right for me, and it was exactly what I needed. Now, I’m already connecting with so many wonderful couples for 2025, and I’m excited to carry this pace into next year. ✨

A little behind the scenes of bridal bouquet making. I always craft the bouquets in front of the mirror, it helps to get the perspective of the viewers and the lens. Then if you watch me build out any skeletons for on-site installations I am also working from the line of sight they will be seen from; this often means piles of buckets to raise it to right line of sight or even just laying on the floor.

I know there was a lot of work in getting things up and running, and today’s very first pickup was a breeze- all the work shows 👏🏼 I’m looking forward to collaborating with my favorite local growers for a third season and meeting some new faces through the GBFG ✨

This is in honor of my own mum, who loves a coupon more than anyone I know 😘 We will have a limited number of grab-and-go options available the week of Mother’s Day in store, but we highly recommend preordering online! This year we are working with beautiful tulips, ranunculus, calla lilies and a few other lovely blooms! Hi there, I’m Meg, the florist and artist that’s behind Dogwood! Coming from a background in art history and sculpture/installation, I found my calling in flower design. Let me introduce myself ✨ •My favorite flower is the tulip! •I ride a vintage motorcycle and am always trying to figure out how to do flower deliveries on it. •As your wedding florist I’ll try to convince you to have less flowers for more impact. Think installations over bar/greeting/gift table arrangements and a stunning bridal bouquet over wearables! •I love the smell when the earth wakes up in the spring and when it goes to sleep in the autumn. •My favorite part of being a florist is how much play there is in my day-to-day. •I love to read about Celtic mythology and Eastern European folklore and this greatly influences my style.
