Here are some tips to ensure longer lasting flowers โ
โฟ Choose the Right Vase
When you buy a wrapped bouquet, choose a clean vase that supports the length and weight of the stems. Fill it with lukewarm water; most flowers absorb warm water more efficiently.
โฟ Change the Water Regularly
If your arrangement comes in a vase, change the water every 2-3 days or sooner if it becomes cloudy. This step helps prevent bacterial growth and keeps your flowers looking fresh.
For arrangements in Oasis Foam, water them as you would a plant.
โฟ Keep them Cool
Heat can speed up the aging process for flowers, so place your arrangement in a cool location away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Also, try to keep them away from ripening fruits, which release ethylene gas, which can cause flowers to age faster.
โฟ Recut the Stems
Every few days, take the flowers out of the vase and recut the stems. This opens up the stem to allow for more water absorption.
โฟ Remove any Wilting Blooms
Remove and discard any wilting flowers. Leaving them in can cause bacteria to spread and affect the longevity of the other flowers in the vase.
โฟ Wrapped Bouquets
