11:00 AM - 🌿 Morning Flow - We are blessed to welcome a special session with our guest, Alese Klaper! She has over 3 decades of Asana Yoga experience, and a BFA in dance from NYU. Alese offers private and group classes in Victoria upon request.

10:10 AM - Kickstart your VegFest experience with Teesha & Stacy, sharing why they started Positively Vegan and Nanaimo VegFest.

10:35 AM - We are deeply honored to welcome Elder Lolly from the Snuneymuxw First Nation for a land blessing.

10:50 AM - Next up, Vesanto Melina, MS, RD takes the stage to answer all your questions on plant-based protein.

11:35 AM - Paul Fader's compelling message on activism for our animal friends is next in line.

12:00 PM - The passionate Steph Gordon, Home For Hooves will share her insights on the vital role of sanctuaries for our farmed animal companions.

12:15 PM - Sandra Nomoto will share tips on how to share your vegan message, and how vegan businesses can better market themselves.

12:45 PM - Join Cory Davis, Agrologist, as he reveals the hidden environmental costs of our food system.

1:30 PM - After a 50 year career as a primary care physician, Dr. Klaper, a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, now focuses on the non-profit, Moving Medicine Forward. Here he shares with medical students and fellow health professionals the science of how health-promoting food and lifestyle choices can arrest and reverse chronic disease.

Thanks to everyone who came to join us for our first healthy vegan potluck! We had a variety of fabulous dishes and a chance to visit with fellow vegans 🌱

Special thanks to our fabulous host, Amy, who opened her home AND prepared several dishes for potluck. 🙌

Our next healthy vegan potluck will be held at Amy’s again on Feb 25th, 2024. 📅

Join us March 31st for an Easter vegan potluck (at Stacy’s) - WFPB optional but not required for holidays.

Nanaimo VegFest 2024 is now happening on Saturday, July 6th, 2024. We'll still be at the beautiful Maffeo Sutton Park and the event will run from 10 AM to 4 PM, just like planned.

Positively Vegan is a registered nonprofit, and we’re committed to keeping Nanaimo VegFest free to attend. A free festival is accessible to all in our community and to pre-vegans.

If you’re in the position where you could have paid a small entry fee to attend we would greatly appreciate a donation. Suggested donation is $5-$20 for “admission”.
