This wedding sign design has been our most popular for the past two summers. We actually ended up making a second Mushroom package last year because of the demand for it.
Truth be told, it’s the hardest sign package to make and maintain because it’s paint-based; but we’ll happily make a third if needed ✨
We were married three years ago in the middle of COVID at our parents' cottage. That was also the summer we started brainstorming about having a sign rental business after our own wedding planning.

✨Busy couples in full-send planning mode; here are three tips to throwing a more sustainable wedding 🍃🌎
1️⃣ Make an effort to choose vendors that use local ingredients and supplies in their works ✨
For catering especially, in-season ingredients are fresher, use less pesticides, can be more affordable, and have a lighter environmental impact because of lower storage and travel requirements.
2️⃣ Rent, Borrow, or Buy Secondhand ✨
Check out Marketplace, connect with friends-of- friends and visit your favourite thrift stores for decor, fashion and other wedding items. We are excited to see more and more companies like Kind Sign Co that offer the option to rent one-time- use wedding items like signage and decor!
3️⃣ Have Your Wedding Items Pull Double Duty

Think of multiple ways to use your wedding items. Some ideas we love are sending home your centre pieces as favours, using plantable seed paper for invitations, and repurposing decor items in your home after the wedding.
Hi everyone! For those who don’t know us, we’re Emma and DJ, the faces behind Kind Sign Co. In case you’re new to our page, here are 3 facts about us to get this relationship off to a great start:
✨Outside of Kind Sign, we are teachers (Wondering why disappears for a few months of the year? We focus our energy into teaching once wedding season is done, only to come back ready and refreshed in the spring!)
✨We threw our dream backyard wedding with 15 guests in 2021
✨ Kind Sign was dreamt up on long walks we took together during lock-downs in 2020
During that time we were planning our own wedding and realized that so many elements from our wedding would only be needed once, then would go
straight to the landfill or need to be re-sold. One thing led to another, and we decided to start a small business that provided couples the option to rent wedding signage for their big day to avoid the dreaded “Now what do I do with all of this stuff?” moment that comes after a wedding. We’re very excited to announce that Kind Sign is back up and running for our third summer in business!
People, integrity, creativity and celebration are the core values that guide our business. Thanks for everyone who has been following us along the way. Can’t wait for another amazing summer!

✨Our top 3 reasons to RENT your wedding signage (instead of buy or DIY):
1) It’s Cheaper💰- Buying one decent quality wedding sign off of Facebook marketplace will usually end up being $50 at a minimum. If you want to buy a welcome sign, table numbers, a cards and gift sign, an unplugged ceremony sign, reserved signs and a seating chart sign; things can get real pricey, real fast.
2) You Get to Give Them Back 👍 - Let’s be honest, most wedding signs are used one time. Afterwards, they end up in your parents’ garage collecting dust, or in the dump. When you choose to rent, this problem disappears.
3) TIME ⏱ - Probably the most valuable reason of all. If you are someone who is willing and able to create all your signs by yourself, then all the power to you. But from personal experience, we’ve seen that this can take people weeks, even months to finish; which is probably the last thing you want on your plate when planning a wedding. Beyond that, by the time you purchase all your wood, paint, stain and other supplies, its probably cheaper to rent anyways.
Just a quick non-business related post. We have been away in Ireland for a family wedding the last couple of weeks. Since we’re here, we’re also treating it like a little second honeymoon, since COVID restrictions prevented us from travelling internationally when we first got married. 🇮🇪☘️
