Maybe nobody wants to hear this buuuut a part of me isn’t minding that winter is here! The novelty of the cold will wear off quickly I’m sure, but for now I’m loving being cozied up to the fire + my hubby is loving being able to finally push snow in his tractor 😂

Also - THANK YOU to all those (new + returning) customers who have placed orders for the new year. My Jan and Feb are completely full!! 🥰

2023 was a year of big changes for me.

It marked the first full year since 2016 that I haven’t been pregnant or on leave with a new babe. That chapter of my life was a huge learning curve, becoming a mom of 1, 2 then 3 kids and all the beautiful chaos that comes with it. Now that diapers, sleepless nights, and schedules centred around naps + feeds are all behind us, we’ve entered a new chapter that has entirely new learning curves.

Summer 2023 was truly the BEST one yet. With no daycare and two months off work, no sports schedules and my 30th birthday celebrations, our family spent nearly the entire summer on the road, making unforgettable memories and filling my cup truly to its fullest.

Then September came and that cup drained quickly. I returned to work full-time as a mom of 3, which also meant juggling my role as the “default parent” because my husband’s job doesn’t have that flexibility. I have a fulfilling + demanding career in Human Resources (and coming sooo close to completing my Chartered Professional designation!) while mixing in kids’ pickups, dropoffs, school and extra-curricular activities. Every day I switch from HR mode to Mom mode, with little to no breaks in between. I feel motivated and happy, AND I get overwhelmed and break down. Honestly, 4 months into this new chapter and I’m still just trying to figure it all out 🥴.

Though I’ve sadly had to force myself to slow down The Party Mama, it’s a piece of my identity that I’ve built for myself and it still brings me so much inspiration and relaxation. I love creating decor, and your orders continue to spark joy for me. I just struggle to keep up with sharing my work and promoting myself. My pace will always be changing, but please know I’m still here and get that happy-dance feeling every time you support my business!

If you’ve made it this far, thanks for listening 😅. Life is more hectic than ever, but it’s also SO rewarding. I’m grateful to have three healthy + happy kids, a marriage that’s the strongest it’s ever been, supportive parents, families, friends and boss, a fulfilling career and side hustle, and a village of people that I can undoubtedly lean on when I need it the most ❤️❤️.

It’s not lost on me how very lucky I am to be raising babies with such a wonderful man… and to have an incredible Dad, father-in-law, brother and brothers-in-law, and father friends that all act as role models in our kids’ lives too. Happy Father’s Day! 🩵

For the serious lack of commitment I have to social media and advertising myself, I got a boatload of orders for the summer months come through this week! 😁 It just goes to show how amazing y’all are + how appreciative I am that you guys keep thinking of me even though I’m basically an IG ghost 😅🤣

Now that our fam’s birthday season is officially over (though I have some John Deere content still to share!), I’m ready to get going on all my June party orders. The themes I’ve been getting lately are goooood and I’m feeling so creative! 🥳

Our oldest is SIX today! He chose a birthday theme that has been a long time coming. 🚜 This guy has been John Deere obsessed since he could crawl, and it’s even more special to him now because his Grandpa is “the boss at a John Deere store” 😂🥰

We can’t wait to keep celebrating him this weekend + share what kind of crafting I’ve been up to for the last birthday of our season 💚💛

This was Tuck’s first season playing hockey this year. He started off not being able to skate at all + ended the season skating strong and scoring goals!

In his very first game, at his very first tournament, he got the Hustler award! 💙 They chose to hand out pizza coupons instead of flags that day though, and Tuck was a little disappointed he didn’t have a flag to hang up in his room.. so I made him one! It was definitely worth the effort to see his eyes light up when he finally got his Hustler flag ❤️🏒

**Also glad that Tuck hasn’t noticed I made it with the wrong hockey year on it 🤦🏼‍♀️😅

Celebrated THREE years as The Party Mama today with lots of snuggles from these three cuties, a quiet afternoon coffee with my hubs + now catching up on May order quotes.

It’s been a really fulfilling three years in this business + even more enjoyable getting to know so many of you! While life has gotten a lot busier since I started in 2020, I love doing this more with every year than passes! 💙

Our superhero is FOUR! 💛🖤 We had the best weekend with family + friends celebrating our little bro of the house. Dierks has been repeatedly telling us he had the best birthday ever, and he can do so many new things “now that I’m 4, mama!” 🥹

I’ve been itching to go all out with a Batman theme - so naturally I was ecstatic when Dierks picked a Batman birthday! I had the coolest video recorded of his whole setup, but bless IG for somehow deleting the draft 🤬😡 I’m hoping I can recover it somehow and show you, but in the meantime, enjoy the absolute excitement in Dierkson’s eyes here 😍😭🤍

I’ve been a busy bee lately, keeping up with customer orders, a couple prize donations + prepping my kiddos’ birthday parties! 🥳

This order is near + dear to me, as it was for the staff at my old elementary school for Staff Appreciation Week last month. It was pretty nostalgic working with the same school colours + logo I had growing up, and then incorporating this year’s staff appreciation theme “Champions of Learning” too! 🏆

Our sweet baby girl turned two today! 🎉 She is tiny, independent + full of attitude in the best way. And even though she loves doing everything her brothers do, she loves all things girly too. We just love her so much! 💕

Making thoughtful, homemade gifts etc. has always been something I’ve loved to do. I still do it now on various occasions for loved ones, and the kids have really started to love doing it with me.

Tuck handed out valentines at school yesterday, and he was so proud that him and I made them together. He said instead of a treat, he wanted to give a toy to all his friends… and I thought they turned out to be quite a-DOH-rable 🥰

No request is ever too specific, too unique or too random. I will literally try anything, especially if it means making your kiddos (or any loved one!) feel extra special. I keep at this job knowing that my final products are going to be the reason someone, somewhere smiles 💙

The Christmas break consisted of a lot of Lego play here at home - a toy I’m always up for sitting down to play because it brings out the inner child in me ❤️

While I’m going to miss the relaxation and the slow-down of life over the break, I’m excited for the routine of school/daycare/work to get started again tomorrow. Anyone else?! 🙋🏼‍♀️
