Our 2023 wedding season has officially come to an end and I can assure you that we’ll be posting all the prettiness super soon!🤍

Until then - I am SO excited to share that we’ll be attending Christmas market with our champagne truck! ✨🥂🤍

Mel at Makin it Lovely has the most beautiful decor and impeccable taste - I can’t wait to start sharing some of the beautiful decor she has available at her market for sale. Come on by Sunday Nov 12th, grab a drink and shop away!

We’ll be serving up:

*Irish Coffee
*Merry Mimosas

Wow. What an absolute honour to be awarded top Bar/Bartender company for the 2023 Ottawa Wedding Vendor awards. ✨🥂

I can’t begin to express how grateful and humbled I am that people took the time to nominate us. This little dream of owning our mobile bar truck has turned into this amazing reality - it has created memories, it’s allowed us to gain new friends and “friendors”, and it has been the best life journey to date.

We cannot wait to share our little Tappo this summer with all our amazing clients! Cheers to all who were awarded- it was so well deserved! 🤍🤍🥂

This “ring of fire” floral set up was seriously so perfect - the mixes of orange and red florals were subtle and beautiful. Our couple loved and had a connection to the song by Johnny Cash and wanted to incorporate it into their day. Our bride even walked down to the nicest acoustic version of the song Ring of Fire by the band Retreat. 🤍✨

The cape veil of our dreams ✨ Chelsea was one our September brides and was the most whimsical, magical and beautiful bride! Like look at her?!?

Between the veil, accessories, dress and the little bit of Harry Potter magic - it was one for the books.

Just a note that we thought was important to share: Our social media has been organized through an app called Planoly - which is allows us to auto-post a lot of our content. Our content is sometimes planned a month in advance especially during the busy wedding season. Just because something has been posted does not mean we are readily available and free. Wedding tip: When starting your venue visits, begin to compare what is included or available to you in terms of tables, chairs, furniture, ect.. All of these little things will impact your overall wedding budget. For A & W's wedding we utilized all the harvest tables and benches included with the rental of Stonecrop Acres in order to help save on costs. Having a planner will always help you navigate this very easily!

This wine seating chart turned out so perfect. Stonecrop Acres had made mini bottles of their orange wine and I knew we had to incorporate it into W & A's wedding design. All tags and vinyl were custom made by the amazing and look how cute this looked?! Guests got to find their seat and take home a delicious bottle of solstice wine.

We'll be taking this Sunday off to prep for a branding and styled shoot tomorrow. The inspiration behind this shoot is "Spring Fields". We are having severe spring fever lately.

Newly engaged couples🤍:

The first reaction to getting engaged is always wanting to pick a date right away and to book the venue that you’ve been dreaming of.

The best advice I could give as a planner is to first take a breath and soak in the excitement of being engaged.

Second, start by putting together your invitation list. Most couples will say the invitation list is the most stressful and it’s better to iron that out early. Who do you invite? Who do you cut from the list? Kids or no kids?

By putting together your invitation list first, this will determine literally everything else for your big day such as: venue choice (most venues have capacity restrictions), budget, catering costs, tent sizes, rentals, you name it.

Last piece of advice is don’t guess your guest count. 99% of the time you will end up with more than you think. 🤍

Wedding Tip: Designate a special spot for you and your partner to go to immediately following your ceremony - somewhere that’s hidden from your cocktail hour and reception space. Have your coordinator or a friend bring you a nice cold bottle of champagne to pop and take 15 minutes alone. You’ll have a chance to soak in that just married feeling alone before the festivities begin. 🤍
