I had a conversation with someone today that read our story on our website. She shared a story of a loved one who too lost their child far too soon. It brought me back to our why as a business. Today we said farewell to our beloved crew member, Marcus Frazer who passed away suddenly last week. Marcus was an integral member of our team who helped put down the roots of RTE and was like a brother/uncle to our family. He had a child-like way about him that brought many smiles to our team and those who knew him (see photo 3). Marcus thank you for serving our family and business and for your loyalty and friendship. May we carry your memory with us always. You will be greatly missed. ❤️🌻

Our story

Hello! And welcome to Redemption Tent Events! We are so glad you’re here. Do you have a minute? We’d love to share the story of how Redemption Tent Events came to be. We are a Kingdom-minded business. What does that mean you ask? Well, our mission is to advance the Kingdom of Heaven on planet earth. Simple right? Ok let’s dig a little deeper. In spring of 2018, my husband and I were due to have our 4th child. Sadly, at 38 weeks gestation, our only son, Reed John Young, died. He was born still. We were devastated. But our story doesn’t end there. Before Reed died, God began to speak to me (Jenna) all about Heaven. Did you know Heaven is 50 percent holy and 50 percent fun?! Yes, the God of creation is a fun guy! God began to reveal many wonderful things about Heaven. Things that challenged my theology and brought so much excitement for our eternal home. When I reflected on what God had taught me about Heaven after Reed died, it brought so much comfort, so much peace and a knowing that, because of Jesus’ great sacrifice on that rugged cross, I will see my baby boy again. A few months after Reed moved to Heaven, we were planning a memorial service for him on our hobby farm. We needed a tent. My husband ended up finding a tent on Kijiji. Someone had left this huge tent in a friend’s garage and had told them to get rid of it. So a drive to Barrie and $100 later, we were the owners of a 40x100’ wedding tent! We were able to host a beautiful memorial service for our son under its shade. And that is how Redemption Tent Events was born. I have a feeling it’s going to be something special.
