When E + K got married on July 22nd last year, it was not Mother Nature's finest season:

Ottawa received heavy rain, flash flooding, air quality warnings due to wildfire smoke, and 2 tornadoes 🌪!!!

But they battled ALL of the elements gracefully with determination and poise, finding one INCREDIBLY hot day to exchange their vows to one another among their family and friends.

This wedding made me cry 💫

So much love and gratefulness to this couple whose families and friends made me feel so welcomed.

Thank you for trusting me with your ceremony!

Birthday Festivities this 42nd Year! ✨✨✨

The day started in ceremony with a ritual on the water in our tandem kayak, where I planted new seeds for my 42nd year and let go of items that no longer serve me.

I hung around in the afternoon, ziplining with Interzip to welcome a New Year of possibilities and adventure.

I spent the evening enjoying quality time with family over dinner, and for a strong finish, indulged in a buttercream masterpiece made by Sarika

But most importantly, I reconnected with folks, family, friends, peers and colleagues through virtual calls, phone calls and audio recordings, care packages, snail mail, and a beautifully hand-crafted lavender bouquet. 💜

It made for an exceptionally meaningful day. 💫

This week, we celebrated my mother's 💫65th birth year💫

Birthday festivities looked a little different but special and meaningful, just the same.

I lovingly crafted a '65 Reasons to Love Mum' document and sent it via snail mail with meaning and intention.

There was vibrant laughter, contemplation, reflection, and joy as she shared each of her reasons for every year of her birth, celebrating her lived experiences surrounded by a very small community of family and neighbour's.

It was simple.

It was impactful.

It celebrated & recognized her in a profound and meaningful way...with gratitude 💛
