Today, we want to recognize Red Dress Day, a day of remembrance of thousands of missing and murdered indigenous women, girls, Two Spirit and gender diverse people in Canada. We acknowledge our privilege and stand next to our neighbours, friends and family who are calling for action on gender-based and racialized violence. We encourage you to do your research and read about the calls to action from the National Inquiry. Today, and every day, we honour those women and educate ourselves on how we can be allies. The attached article was published a year ago, but contains many good resources.
Non-Indigenous people have a role to play in the fight for justice for missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls beyond Red Dress Day.

The Upstream Team is spread out along the Alaska Highway, between Whitehorse and Tagish. So, we work remotely whether in pandemic mode or not! We try to connect at least once a week for a team chat via Zoom (it's more fun with filters!). How does your team stay connected while working remotely?
