Sessions like this one make me reflect on how much changes in a matter of two short years. Iāve been blessed with watching Penny grow up, really from about Eloiseās age in this moment. Iāve been there to welcome little Ella to this big and beautiful world and so many moments in between.
Iāve had the honour of capturing all these special moments for Rox and her girls and with each new milestone, I am more and more affirmed that Iām exactly where Iām supposed to be when Iām behind that lens.
But more than that, Iām more and more affirmed that Rox has maybe changed the most.
I love those little girls like they were my own and while capturing such precious, fleeting moments in their lives has been an honour of a lifetimeā¦ I canāt help but marvel at the grace, the confidence, the beauty, the elegance, the surrendering, the real and the raw that Rox emanates tooā¦ without her ever realizing it.
We become so focused on celebrating everyone and everything else in and around us but we too often forget to celebrate our own precious, tiny and fleeting moments. The moments that the world needs more of.
The moments that you are exactly and whole heartedly, you.
The moments that make up your becoming.
THAT - is why I do what I do.
My mission to you may look like capturing a brief memorable moment or a family milestone.
But what Iām realizing is that for me, my mission has always been to capture how the culmination of all these tiny, precious and fleeting moments have made youā¦ well you.
Roxanne, you are a living, breathing superhero. You are a blessing to all the lives youāve touched.
